EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The intended research onmeasuring the impact of Organizational Culture on Organizational

Commitment among the employees working in QUADRANT TELEVENTURES LTD,
MOHALI has been carried out to identify the effect of Organizational Culture on
Organizational Commitment.

Organizational Culture includes an organization’s expectations, experience, philosophy as

well as the values that guide member behaviour and its expressed in member self-image,
inner workings, interactions with the outside world and future expectations. Culture is based
on shared attitudes, beliefs, customs and written and unwritten rules that have been developed
over time and are considered valid.

In organizational behaviour and industrial and organizational psychology, organizational

commitment is the individual's psychological attachment to the organization. The basis
behind many of these studies was to find ways to improve how workers feel about their jobs
so that these workers would become more committed to their organizations. Organizational
commitment predicts work variables such as  job performance, turnover and organizational
citizenship behaviour.

The research has been Descriptive cum Exploratory in nature as it seeks to study previous
findings in new context in terms of respondent group, industry and geography. The type of
investigation is Causal as the effect of Organizational Culture on Organizational
Commitment has been studied. Study setting is Non-contrived because the study has been
conducted with no interference of researcher. It is a Cross-sectional study as data has been
collected at one point of time.

The data has been collected by researcher from through questionnaire comprising of 20
items’ scale in order to measure the impact of Organizational Culture on Organizational
Commitment. She has drawn a sample of 150 respondents working in Mohali within
Telecommunication Industry.

The hypothesis has been made with an assumption that there has been a significant effect of
“Organizational Culture” on “Organizational Commitment” among the employees.
As per coefficient of regression analysis, “Organizational Culture”, was found to be
significant positive impact on “Organizational Commitment ” among the employees.

Various statistical tools have also been applied like Descriptive Statistics, Reliability
Statistics, and Regression analysis to analyze the data using software for Statistical Package
for Social Sciences (SPSS) 23.0.

Descriptive Statistics has been used to identify the most significant factors of Organizational
Culture on Organizational Commitment among the employeesout of list of all factors which
been developed through extensive literature survey.

Reliability statistics has been used to find out the extent to which data collected is reliable
and truly represents the population. After its application, it has been found that
Organizational Culture is 97.8% reliable and Organizational Commitment is 95.1%
respectively.

Regression analysis has been used to find out the percentage impact of Organizational
Culture on Organizational Commitment is 64%.

Out of all independent variables, Organizational Commitment was found to be the most
significant, having positive impact on Organizational Commitment.

The research is not free from limitations like small sample size, unwillingness of
respondents, and limited area for research, respondents’ bias and researcher’s bias. At last it
has been concluded that the Organization Culture has a Significant impact on Organizational
Commitment.
