Vicente B. Bello Scholarship Program

Dear Admissions Committee,

I am writing to offer my unreserved recommendation for Sheila Mae C. Craus for Vicente B.
Bello Scholarship Program. I got to know Sheila as her 12 th grade General Chemistry teacher in
Madridejos National High School.

During her senior year, I was one of the panelists to evaluate their research defense and her
team got the highest score among their class. Making blackboard chalks out of scallop shells
was their research study. Since empty scallop shells are usually dumped everywhere without
any plans of reusing them, Sheila’s group came up with a study to aid such concern.

A former professor from University of Cebu was also my co-panelist and he complimented the
coherence of their presentation. Additionally, their research study was one of the works that was
submitted to the Division’s Office.

Since I have known her, Sheila never hesitated to ask for help when things were not clear and
would stay after class for additional questions and clarifications. Also, Sheila was one of the
three delegates who represented our school in Science Quiz Bowl (Division Level) in her 8 th and
10th grade.

I highly recommend Sheila for this scholarship. There is no doubt in mind that Sheila will do her
best in whatever path she chooses to take. Her hard work and determination will get her very
