Let’s Analyze!

Task Number 1: Knowing yourself BETTER!

Study your current situation and finish this task:

1. What are your current Strengths and Weaknesses? (at least 5 each)

My strength as a person is my positivity. When bad things happen, I look at the brighter side of
it and look for every opportunity in every challenges. I thrive on pressure and produce positive results
even during stressful situations. I believe in myself because I know my strengths and limitations. I
learned a lot of knowledge from my experiences and education, but despite that I remain being humble.
I am willing to listen to criticism and advice from other people.
My weakness is my love for comfort. I don’t like to confront situations that will take me away
from my comfort zone. I also am a lazy person, but I can be motivated with the right incentive. I am too
compromising sometimes. I also have the tendency to watch people than initiate things. Knowing these
weaknesses helped me to find solutions to overcome them or compensate them with my strength.

2. Which do you prefer? Money or Career? Why?

I prefer career over money. Although money is tangible, but it is as hard to keep it as holding
on to air. I can’t choose money now because I still don’t have enough knowledge in investing. It would
be impractical to choose money knowing that I might just spend it on things I don’t really need. Career
is not forever, but I was planning to gain practical knowledge and skills from my job and use it to build
my own business in the future. I will use my career as an accountant as a stepping stone towards my
greater goal.

3. State 10 of your attitudes that you think are entrepreneurial.

My attitudes that I think are entrepreneurial are being positive, responsible if given a task, and
I am willing to learn. I am also passionate when I commit to a certain goal. I am flexible, honest, and
have a strong work ethic. I can easily forgive myself when facing failure and start tasks again with
motivation. I like to plan my steps towards a goal. I also like to schedule my activities everyday and
really follow it to correct my laziness. Now, I like to do tasks promptly so that I can use my spare time
for myself and family. I believe that these are characteristics that are important as an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurs are not perfect, but they are willing to learn to continue improving in every aspect of their
lives.

4. How do you define success?

Everybody has a different definition of success. My perspective towards success is heavily

influenced by my faith in God. For me, success is not about acquiring material wealth or gaining prestige
and power. It is about having a long life that is peaceful and bountiful that results from following His
commandments (Proverbs 3:1-2).

Success is not my ultimate goal that will overshadow God in my life, but it is a reward from Him
for being faithful. Material things are inconsequential as was written in Matthew 16: 26, “What good will
it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange
for their soul?”.
