INTRODUCTION:
This course aims to provide students with an understanding of data management and processing used in the field of
education. It focuses on the analysis of data, emphasizing the correct applications of statistical-inference methods to
a variety of decision making situations and interpretations of reports.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of the course are to assist students to:
explain basic descriptive statistics and inferential statistics and their uses;
analyse real data and make appropriate interpretation and decision;
utilize statistical computer applications packages; and communicate results of data analysis as a report.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
define the basics statistics and describe its various uses;
evaluate computations related to the concepts covered by the course; and
