1. How will you communicate the DepEd Vision, Mission, and Core Values to strengthen
community partnership?

The DepEd Order No. 36 S. 2013 known as the DepEd VMV mandated all offices and schools
to adopt the official DepEd Vision, Mission and Core Values which shall be the only VMV in
promoting “One DepEd”. It should enable the teachers to align their efforts in the realization of
DepEd’s Mandate, Vision, Mission, and strategic thrust and direction.

In response to this and to strengthen our partnership with the community, the school must
take various ways and processes to communicate the DepEd VMV through:

• Conducting any form of meetings with the key stakeholders to carefully explain the message
and meaning of the VMV. It is important for the school to take this step to keep them aware
and mindful of the organization’s goals and direction.
• Involve not only the internal but also the external stakeholders and other key persons in
making decisions and planning or creating school programs and projects in line with the VMV
for sustainable development.
• Parents, key stakeholders and other partners must have a clearer understanding that
promoting the right of every Filipino particularly their children to quality, equitable, culture-
based and complete education is not a sole duty of the school but more of a shared
responsibility.
• Lastly, the school must encourage to actively engage, participate, contribute and share for
developing lifelong learners toward the realization of department’s mission.

These things can only be made possible if the school has open communication and is building a
better relationship among the key stakeholders and education partners.

2. Why collaboration with school personnel is needed in communicating the DepEd

Vision, Mission and Core Values to the wider community?

Collaboration with school personnel is needed in communicating the DepEd Vision, Mission and
Core Values to the wider community because everyone must be part of it, everyone has a duty to perform.
Again, it is not a sole obligation of the School Head and everyone must share responsibility toward the
realization of the common goal.

Another thing why collaboration with school personnel is needed, simply because there are target
outcomes that the school must achieve in line with DepEd VMV that also require collective effort and
expertise from all the key personnel.

Here are the target outcomes that need everyone’s involvement:

• Provide necessary basic education inputs (Policy and Tool across Key Stages)
• Provide affirmative action to learners with special needs and/or learners in special circumstances
• Engage the private sector in broadening opportunities for basic education
• Utilize technology in expanding reach of basic education services
• Ensure that a learner-centered curriculum is implemented
• Provide relevant instructional materials and equipment
• Improve quality of instruction and professional development of teachers
