Program Structure
EIT offers only one Bachelor of Science stream authorized in the USA, namely Industrial Automation Engineering. You must
complete 120 credit hours comprising 12 core courses (each contributing 3 credit hours), 2 Industrial Experience Research
Project courses (each contributing 3 credit hours), 1 Final Year Project (9 credit hours), 12 Industrial Automation Engineering
courses (each contributing 3 credit hours) and 11 General Education courses (each contributing 3 credit hours).

DELIVERY For professional practice, the hands-on Entry Requirements

EIT uses an innovative, online approach to
ensure that you have a supportive, interactive
and practical education experience. Our
delivery model involves live, interactive online
lectures, remote laboratories, simulation
software and study assignments with support
from a dedicated Learning Support Officer and
Academic Staff.
Lectures are conducted using a specialized,
live, interactive software system. You will
receive program materials and assessments
through a Learning Management System
which is available 24 hours a day.
All you need to participate is an adequate
Internet connection, a computer, speakers
and, if possible, a microphone.

and industry experience.
Remote Labs
You will participate in laboratory practical
assignments using a combination of
local laboratories and remote/virtual and
simulation software, to ensure you receive
the requisite hands-on experience. The
hardware equipment connected to most of the
computers, both industrial and educational,
allow you to perform real implementation
of engineering activities by interfacing the
computers, software and simulators to real-
world hardware.
To gain entry into this program, you need to
meet EIT’s entry requirements. All program
entry requirements are available on the
EIT website.
Time Commitment
This program is presented through intensive,
part-time delivery over 4 years. Successful
students are likely to spend approximately 20
hours per week in order to cover the material
adequately and to gain sufficient knowledge
in each course. This includes the preparatory
reading, attendance at each webinar and the
time necessary to complete the assignments
and laboratory work.
