Graduates of the BSBA programs are business people who:  Identify the principles and functions of business

COURSE INFORMATION

Course Description This course intends to study and create Filipino literature that focuses on the social significance of literary texts in various parts of Philippine history. It covers social issues
discussed by Filipino authors such as poverty, wide gap between rich and poor, land reforms, globalization, worker exploitation, human rights, gender issues, minority and/
or marginalized groups situation, etc.

Course Prerequisite: None Course Schedule: M/ Th Time: 1:00 - 2:00/ 1:00 - 3:00
Course Outcomes:
At the end of the course, students must have:

1. Explain the cause and effect of social problems through reading significant literary works;
2. Identify meaningful, trusted and worthwhile resource-based referrals in literary criticism;
3. Determine the characteristics of good literary works with social significance;
4. Summarize important events and/ or thoughts in the literary works to be read;
5. Written a literary work that deals with a social problem.
6. Emphasize the dynamic relationship of literature and the realities of society.
