Biblical Foundation:
“I am the Lord your God, and you must keep yourselves
holy, because I am holy”

“All Christians… are called to the fulness of Christian life and to
the perfection of charity. Christian has but one limit that of
having none” (CCC 2028)
In the Bible, “name” refers to the very reality of the person
named, expressing the person’s role or status, and often
representing the person’s personal disclosure or self-revelation.
“Christ is calling each of you to work with him and to take
up your responsibilities in order to build the civilization of Love”
Old and New Testament Concept
The sacred Scripture: Old and Ned Testament defined
perfection is called forth which means that not only religious but
also moral integrity for all people of God. Old Testament, human
Hebrew words are “Tam, Tom, and Tamim.”

New Testament
The new testament is the foundation with further revelation
and law from God. It also contains about the time Jesus’ birth to his
(future) second coming.
Vatican II: Call to Perfection
It teaches that “all Christian in any states and walk of life are
calls to the fulness of Christian life and to be perfection charity”
Therefore in the church, everyone whether belonging to the
hierarchy, or being cared for by it, is called to holiness, according to
the saying of the Apostle: For this is the will of God, your
sanctification“ (1 Thes. 4:3). However, this holiness of the church is
unceasingly manifested and must be manifested, in the fruits of
grace the Spirit produces in the faithful; it is expressed in many
ways the individuals, who in their walk of life, tend toward the
perfection of charity, thus causing the edification of others.
 To realize it, the believers in faith should use it potential to deal as conformity to what is commonly accepted as good and pious in a
with Christ’s gifts. So that by doing the will of the Father in religious community, a genuine call to holiness is not only measured
everything, they may wholeheartedly devote themselves to the in religious fulfillment of duties and observes strictly religious norms

fulfillment of duties and observed strictly religious norms but being
faithful to God.

Perfection in Holiness

Holiness is how we live our life according to Go9d’s love,

our time, money, relationship, and family. Perfection ion holiness
means correcting our mistakes accepting one’s misdeeds and be
ready for change from good to best of one’s life. Dr. Karl Peshcke
mentioned the wrong notion of attaining holiness, he said, popular
opinion frequently conceives the term as the performance of more
and better works, zeal in religious practices conscientious
participation in parochial organization and abstention from many
vices.

Many today, think of the Christian life as meaning first, a

certain amount of church going, saying prayers, pious practices, and
secondly attain holiness but they are not assurance if we really
become by these practices. The assurance in on our sincere efforts
and honest Christian way of living. It is not is this view that holiness
