ABOUT PIVOT DOOR SYSTEMS…
A pivot door is a frameless door that rotates around its vertical axis and can be opened to both the left and the right.
It is not only functional but also a very attractive solution without frames, mountings or slats.
Pivot doors are movable walls. In a closed position they are virtually invisible; in an open position they can
determine the space. It is precisely this that is the strength of the pivot door: it is a rotating part of a wall that can
influence space, functionality and perception.

The new pivot door system by Häfele has won the high-
profile German Design Award for Excellent Product
Design in the category: Building and Energy. In the
jury’s report, the German Design Council describes the
pivot door system as ‘a product design that is
convincing right down to the last detail and a
pioneering contribution to the international and German
design world’.

FEATURES
Nothing in the floor or in the ceiling:
The high-quality, patented pivot door systems differ
from other systems with all the technical parts fitted not
‘in the floor’, as with traditional systems, but ‘in the
door’. This innovation opens up endless possibilities for
the use of the pivot doors in both existing and new
situations.
Invisible solution:
The new pivot door hinge system is integrated into the
door, which means that outside the door only one small
floor and ceiling plate need to be fitted. A virtually
invisible system. Which means that it is the
aesthetically attractive pivot door that gets the
attention.
Simple and quick delivery:
Thanks to the fact that all the technical parts are fitted
in the door, fitting the pivot door with the use of the
unique floor and ceiling plates, is a piece of cake. The
pivot door revolves between the floor and ceiling
plates, which are fitted to the finished floor and the
finished ceiling.

Engineered for versatility:
Three unique pivot door hinge systems (SytemOne,
System3 and System4) offer diverse functionality and
features, including installation on doors made of any
kind of material, a dual-acting pivot with variable
closing speed, precise adjustability of every door’s
position and closing angle.
Unrestricted Door Dimensions:
The pivot door hinge systems can support doors up to
500 kg depending on the type of system. Which
means that very heavy, large and wide doors can also
be made as pivot doors!
Maintenance-free system:
The use of high-quality materials means that the
system is maintenance-free. SystemOne and System
3 are certified to 1,000,000 cycles – which equates to
136 years of intensive usage while System 4 is
certified to 5,00,000 cycles according to the EN
standards. The systems are also fully manufactured
from materials with a high corrosion-resistance. All the
Floor and Ceiling Plates, and the exposed parts of the
Top and Bottom Pivot are made from Stainless Steel
Grade 316.

 SYSTEM 3 : SPECIFICATIONS
System3 can turn through 360˚ and is characterised by a hold position at 0˚, 90˚, 180˚ and 270˚. This means that the
spring-loaded door turns from each 45˚ in both directions and stops in the desired direction. The door needs only a little
force to start moving, then it continues to rotate by itself thanks to the patented spring construction. The precise damping
feature allows the door to come to rest in the hold position after two movements.

The Top Pivot is integrated into the top of the door and uses a pin/hole connection. The pin is fixed to the top pivot and
drops into the hole in the ceiling plate when turned. All the exposed parts of the Top and Bottom Pivot are made of
Stainless Steel Grade 316

Ceiling Plates, as the name suggests, are fitted into the ceiling. The pin of the top pivot then fits seamlessly into the hole of
the ceiling plate. All the Ceiling Plates in this range are made of Stainless Steel Grade 316.

 ACCESSORIES : FLOOR PLATE
Floor Plates, as the name suggest, come with an oval recess and are fitted to the floor. The base of the bottom pivot hinges
(SystemOne, 3 or 4) fit seamlessly into the recess of the floor plate. These floor plates can either be installed on the floor or
into the floor to achieve a concealed application. All the Floor Plates in this range are made of Stainless Steel Grade 316.
