1)Company is expecting to grow twice in size in terms of employees


in the next two years .So we also need more second level of leaders
in the organization. As software developers have good technical skills
but we need to create some leadership quality in them so that they
can be a team leader. I can motivate to add leadership quality in
them so that they can be more useful human resources for company
and for themselves also in terms of salary.
With the help of HR manager, i can arrange expert sessions to
nurture leadership quality. As leadership quality can be trained. So
by conducting such sessions I can surely develop leadership quality in
my employees.
I can give opportunity to my employees to play the role of team
leader. Being the new team leader, there is lots of risk and difficulty
in managing the whole team .But I assure them, they are allowed to
take risk and fail while learning new things. These thoughts will
motivate them a lot and they will take interest in learning things.
I will give chance to employees to handle some outside work of
company, may be sending them on outside tour for company work as
a team leader. This will create different leadership quality in them
like extrovert quality, handling different situation, responsibility,
discipline and how to handle people to work together for a goal.
They will have a lot of trust on company as we are giving them a lot
of learning opportunity .They will feel highly motivated when
exposing to different new scenario without the fear of failure.
So I think, by good training, exposure to different situation ,showing
trust, allowing them to take risk ,providing them a good work place
and creating learning opportunity ,I can develop second level of
leaders in the organization in coming years.

2) It’s important for a company to develop a work culture where


employees feel included. If you are bringing talent from diversity and
if they are not happy then company can’t grow. Company should
create a culture where every voice can be heard .No one should be
harassed or suppressed. There should be equality,transparency ,and
brotherhood among employees.
I can ensure diversity in organization by taking following action
plans-
i)By educating leaders-
It is the leader who is the front line of employees always. So it’s very
important to make leaders understand that they have to create a
good work place so that employees feel respected and inclusive.
Leaders need to hear the voice of everyone and create a good
interaction and brotherhood among employees. If someone have
difficulty like disability etc then make proper arrangement for them
to work them properly and happily.
iii)Inclusion Council forming-
I can select some leaders who really supports inclusivity and form an
Inclusion Council. This council can conduct meeting regularly and
hear everyone voice. They can solve problems which are challenging
diversity. They will ensure that company is good place for diversity.
They can motivate leaders and employees to respect others and be
kind and cooperate to each other for good environment.
ii)Respecting diversity and celebrating differences-
We can celebrate festival of every religion so that every religion feel
respected. We can wish and celebrate birthday of employees so that
everyone will feel respected.
3)Organization should be a psychologically safe place to work for
employee. Psychologically safe means no one should be embarrassed
or disrespected by others.
My specific action plans to create Psychological safety-
i)Respecting others-
It is said that treat others as you want to be treated .So create a
environment in the company such that people treat others well.
Employees should discuss among themselves that would they like
others behaviour, communication skill or not. Team leader should
ensure that if any one’s behaviour is not liked by someone then a
leader should make him understand to behave good.
ii)Give freedom to every voice-
create a work place such that everybody will feel free to raise voice
and discuss .Everybody voice should be heard .Identify the problems,
take feedback from employees and solve them.
iii)Everybody should feel inclusive and ensure good environment for
diversity in respect to religion ,gender ,colour etc.
iv)Balance between task and relationship-
Do not make employees work like animals. It will end up their
interest in work. Build up good relation among employees .Give
them sufficient time to complete work so that they can come up with
innovative ideas and work well and don’t feel stressed. Make
everyone feel comfortable even they fail. Show trust and openness
so that they can learn and work efficiently and heartily for the
organization.
4)Company has a high rate of employee attrition at the team leader
level due to lack of growth opportunities within the organization.
I will make them trust on organization as organization is growing
fastly so we will be needed more high level leaders .So we assign
them next level leader post if they have those leadership qualities.
As these leaders are leaving because their all skill is not being used
and may be less paid. So, I can give some extra work for for them so
that their all skills can be used and for that I can pay them more. I
make them feel happy and will ensure total utilisation of their skills
and increment of salary. Telling them about the good culture,
transparency etc.is good here and this can be more good with
support of him. Telling them about their power not limited to their
post and acknowledging their skills make them feel good. Presently
increment in salary and giving more high level of work and assuring
demand of high level leader position in coming year can make them
stay in company . So giving them faith that there is lot of growth
opportunity, I can retain them.
