PGD-CET 2011
Entrance Examination for Admission to Dental Postgraduate Courses (MDS)

Entrance Examination (PGD-CET 2011) for Dental Postgraduate Courses (MDS)


will be held on Sunday, 6th February, 2011 from 10.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

The cost of application form along with the Information Brochure of PGD-CET
2011 and Examination fee is Rs. 1800/- to be payable by Demand Draft / Pay Order
drawn on any Nationalised or Scheduled commercial Bank in favor of "Director,
Medical Education and Research, Mumbai" payable at Mumbai. The Brochure and
Application Form will be available at the following institutions from 29/12/2010 to
11/01/2011 (Excluding Sundays and State Government Holidays). Aspiring candidates
should go through the eligibility criteria as per the PGD-CET-2011 brochure, which is
available on website www.dmer.org before purchasing the application form.

Application forms duly filled can be submitted in person from 29/12/2010 to


11/01/2011 (Excluding Sundays and State Government Holidays) at any of the above
centers. The application form should not be sent by Post/Courier, such forms will be
rejected without any intimation.

Eligibility Criteria
1. A candidate must be an Indian National.
2. All Candidates, who have passed final B.D.S. degree from a recognised dental college
(Annexure-E) included in the schedule of the Dental Council of India and situated in
Maharashtra, affiliated to the Non-agricultural University established under Maharashtra
Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 or
Dental Colleges affiliated to Deemed University as per University Grant Commission Act
1956, under Section 13/A, situated in Maharashtra, and who have obtained registration
either from the Dental Council of India or Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC)
after competing one year compulsory rotating internship will be eligible to appear for
PGD-CET, candidate obtained BDS Degree before introduction of one year compulsory
rotating internship training i.e. on or before 1989 will also be eligible to appear for
PGD-CET-2011.
3. A candidate should have obtained DCI/MSDC registration by the date of
Preference Form filling process. (Refer Rule No. 6.3 of PGD-CET-2011 brochure)
4. A candidate who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who obtained admission
under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) for BDS course and
who has obtained the degree from a university situated out side the State of
Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGD-CET. (Refer Rule No. 6.7 of PGD-CET-
2011 brochure)
