Happy 28th Anniversary Couples For Christ Zamboanga del Sur!
Indeed, God is still great. Amidst the pandemic crisis we are facing, we are still able to celebrate our anniversary virtually. If we log in to our facebook accounts and look for the memories, we may see how energetic we were during our anniversary celebration, but I believe brothers and sisters that despite we the distance that separates us, I can still how jubilant and excited we are to rejoice and celebrate. Brothers and Sisters, tonight as we have our recollection, allow our hearts to be ready, allow ourselves to have that teachable spirit and listening heart so that we may able to digest and internalize God’s message for us. As Couples for Christ, we are reminded to be steadfast amidst the challenges we are facing and be still in this current situation and allow God to be with us as we continue to proclaim His greatness. This year’s theme, Called to Holiness. We are reminded to be like Christ. We are Couples for Christ, thus, we are for Christ. As Couples for Christ, it is our calling to be Holy for our God is holy. Regardless of the sinfulness we have, as long as we always put Christ in our hearts, we are still in line of becoming holy. All the Couples of Christ of whatever rank or status, are called to the fullness of the Christian life and to the perfection of charity. We must follow in His footsteps and conform ourselves to His image seeking the will of the Father in all things. We must devote ourselves with all their being to the glory of God and the service of their neighbor. So brothers and sisters, as we continue to ignite the fire within us, let us always remember what St. John Paul II said that holiness is not only a state but a task, whereby Christians should strive for a full Christian life, imitating Christ, God the Son, who gave his life for God the Father and for his neighbor. This entails a "training in the art of prayer". Let’s make praying not just a time but our life. God Bless everyone and Happy Anniversary!
