Prelude
Welcome and Announcements Rev. George Haugen

Hymn “Thy Word Is a Lamp unto My Feet”

Prayer of Confession Rev. George Haugen

Father, forgive us for our sins. Our busy lives drain us of all energy. Our lives are more cluttered
than committed. We spend time, energy and money on things that do not build our spiritual
lives. The Kingdom is not advanced because of our much doing. We confess that you have often
been crowded out of our lives. We have been too busy to help others grow in right relationship
with you. We do not live as your people of mission and love. Therefore, forgive us for our sins.
Reign in our hearts, and empower us to seek you and your Kingdom first. (Please continue in silent
confession) Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon Rev. George Haugen

Leader: God has lavished His love and mercy on us in Jesus Christ. The promise is, “if we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins.”
People: We receive this promise by faith. We confess and turn from our sin to walk in God’s ways. We
joyfully proclaim: We are forgiven! Praise be to God! Amen!
