1 Introduction
In order to perform PEVQ-S service testing with TEMS Investigation, Google’s Chrome OS
shell environment needs to be installed on the device intended for measurement. This
document describes how to accomplish that via a small TEMS Investigation utility
application.
2 Instructions
Before starting, download the TEMS Investigation utility application
Install_Chromeshell.exe from Ascom’s Global License Server GLS.
Please ensure that the device is properly connected and that USB debugging is allowed.
If more than one device is connected to the computer, the following error message will be
displayed in the command window:

2. Type the following URL in the Chrome Shell address bar and tap the ‘Go’ button:
chrome://flags/#enable-quic
3. In the options list displayed, disable Experimental QUIC protocol and tap the ‘Relaunch
Now’ button for the change to take place.

4. Close the Chrome Shell app.
The device is now ready for PEVQ-S measurements.

During tests, ensure that the Chrome Shell application is kept in the foreground.
During tests, ensure that any type of screen lock functionality is disabled.
