ARTICLE REVIEW (1 PAGE) (ACTIVITY 6)

HOW DOES THE ARTICLE DEMONSTRATE THE IMPORTANCE OF

TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION TO PROMOTE DEVELOPMENT IN

COLOMBIA?

Colombia is a fast-growing country that focuses on innovation. The government sponsors

and supports efforts to encourage entrepreneurship, which is why this country is growing into

a global technology center. Colombians are also the fourth largest Internet user in Latin

America, which means that the country has introduced new ideas to help solve daily

problems.

This articule makes known how a technology incubator started in 2000, called Parquesoft, in

which 1,400 young programmers worked in 300 software development micro-enterprises.

Since its establishment, Parquesoft has not only sold 29 million US dollars of products also

It lets young people with limited resources partake in the global economy.

According to this article, Parquesoft has made many companies such as Manglar emerge in

the technological environment, growing exponentially, and this making it possible to position

the country even as the largest software exporter. The mantra of innovators is "If your dreams

come true, then you can do it." Technology can help realize this dream or visualization in

many ways, and profoundly promote the innovation process.

In addition, innovation requires experimentation and prototypes. Both are greatly facilitated

by technology making them easy and cheap. Technology is in the brainstorming stage and

the collaboration between teams on ideas in-depth and active cooperation. Social media,

audiovisual communication, and real-time or offline communication have reshaped the

interaction between people and pushed innovation to the level of changing lifestyles from

generation to generation.

Parquesoft does not conduct assembly work; it creates intellectual property. Colombia with

this initiative is leading a technological revolution.
