Identifying Functions
Objectives: Materials: Electronic device, Notebook, pen or pencil.
We will identify functions using sets of ordered pairs, tables, mappings, Websites: Microsoft Teams, Nearpod and Gimkit.

Bell Ringer: A code will be provided for students to get into the Gimkit website. The Gimkit will be on the review from last week (two step
equations). To check for understanding I will be able to see their scores as they go through the game by how much money they gain as they play.
On Gimkit they gain or lose money depending if they get the question correct.
Direct Teach:
Station Two: Guided Practice on identifying functions using sets of ordered pairs, tables, mapping, and graphs.

Group 1: Will be the grouped alone for Guided Practice with me after they complete Station Three.
Group 2 and 3: Will be grouped together in General meeting for Guided Practice with me after they complete station.

Independent Practice:
Station One: Nearpod video will be watched and students will write notes on identifying functions. Students will do their notebooks and set up
their notes as Cornell notes.
Station Three: Students will do a Nearpod video review over the Independent Practice Week 4 and Classkick skills STAAR Builder.

Group 1: Will be the grouped on their channel (virtual Group) for station one and three.
Group 2 and 3: Will be grouped together in General meeting for station one and three.

Closing and Reflection: Students will all meet after the three stations to the general meeting for the exit ticket. The exit ticket will be on a
collaborative board on Nearpod. A live participant code will be given, and I will share my screen. Students will be describing strategies how they
can identify if it is a function on the collaborative board as soon as students respond we will read some together.
Structured Formative Assessment:
Entrance Ticket (Bell Ringer): Money gained or lost on Gimkit
Strategic Questioning: students identify functions using set of ordered pairs, tables, mappings, and graphs during direct teach; 9 problems.
Exit Ticket: Strategies that students describe on collaborative board.
Accommodations/Modifications: Follow IEP for SPED, LEP, 504 and Tier Grouping based on Common Assessment from last week.
