Sub Notes

Date: 10/2/2020

1A Health and Personal Fitness


● Students will have their Bellwork on the Google stream. They should be doing this
at the beginning of class. While you take roll
○ We are working on Chapter 10 lesson 2 start at slide (24) I read the slides
out to the students and give examples along the way.
○ After I review a couple slides I give them 3 minutes to
take notes on their note templates.(These are also
provided on the Google Stream. They need to open→ click
file→ make a copy→ once saved they can edit their copy.
○ The last slide is an exit ticket they will be writing these in their bell work
notebook and answering them. If there is a lot of time left you can review
the answers or I will do that on thursday.
○ After about 42 minutes of class Gerrald and I switch classes. We take the
students outside for a mask break while we clean our classrooms with the
cleaning spray (spray the desks and chairs and anything touched. The
spray dries within about 3 minutes. When we go back to class for the last
half of the period I have his students and log into his Google classroom. I

then do everything all over again (Bell work,(no roll) teach the same thing
again, notes)

2A Team Sports
● These students are on the same chapter just a lot farther ahead. We are finishing
up chapter 10 lesson 3 (start on slide #13)
○ Please share your screen:
○ In the Google stream there will be the Bell work (about 5-7 min) along with
learning intentions/success criteria for the day
○ The google slides are in the stream, along with the jamboard I want them
to work on today. Students will create one meal for each day of the week.
They should put a food in each quadrant and something for dairy. To help
with this, remind them MyPlate.gov is a great resource to use. (spend
about 20 minutes on this) Each student has a copy found under this
weeks tab in the Google classwork tab.
○ If they finish everything from the slides and their jamboard I have also
added a quiz on nearpod. You will log into my nearpod and open up ch 10
quiz. Copy the link and add it to the chat so the students know where to
go. They will log in using the code on your screen. Once students have
logged in you can start the quiz game. **some students do not have great
internet and cannot join, this is ok they can watch and study along.

3A Advisory
● This is my advisory class. I have added the days slides on the Google stream,
just go over them with the class. They should be interactive so the students can
talk things out, give opinions etc.
