Course of Study
In the interest of enhancing physical
fitness and athletic skills, this course will
develop student interest in sports, lifetime
fitness, and the competitive spirit that is
inherent in us all. Basic motor skills and
knowledge of sports concepts are
important tools in the development and
continuation of an attitude of health and
lifetime fitness. The following sports and
skills may be covered during the course of
the school year:  *Issues regarding
weather, facilities usage, and scheduling
conflicts hinder the ability to create a
chronological schedule for the content of
this course

Objectives
1. Demonstrate competency in a variety of sport
specific motor skills.
2. Integrate appropriate sport specific techniques
and strategies into game play.
3. Show an improvement in overall physical fitness
including cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength,  
flexibility and concentration through daily
participation and periodic assessments.
4. Demonstrate understanding of rules and
strategies of various sports through the completion
of written tests
5. Safely and confidently compete in a variety of
sports and physical activities. (If we return to in-class)

During the course of us having remote, virtual
learning, office hours will be held from 1 pm to
2:30 pm daily. During these office hours,
students will be able to set appointments and
email with me about material taught or missed. I
encourage students to develop communication
with me about missing assignments and other
confusions with assignments.

Academic dishonesty is a violation of the Student Code of
Conduct as defined in Procedure 503-01. When a student
commits an act of academic dishonesty, the instructor is
responsible for determining the grade for the course or
assignments.
Any of the following violates academic integrity:
Cheating on a test, quiz, or any assignment
Helping someone cheat on an assignment or test
Paying for any work to be done on your behalf, or
having someone pay you to do the work for them.
(Tutoring does not fall into this category)
Learning takes place only in a climate of academic
integrity.
