Writing an Informative Essay

The informative essay educates an audience on a particular topic by giving them
in-depth information and a clear explanation of a subject. It can be a definition,
analysis or comparison between two or more things. Informative writing should
bombard the reader with information and facts that surround an issue. It is not an
opinion piece.

There are four main categories: to define a term; to compare and contrast a
subject; to analyze data; to provide a how-to guide on a subject.

An informative paper should be written in an objective tone and avoid the use of
the first person. The most effective format is using the essential parts of an essay:
title: write a creative title to grab your readers’ attention;
introduction;

body paragraphs: the body contains three or more well-developed paragraphs

based on the number of issues you want to discuss. Each paragraph focuses on
one main idea presented in the introduction. The body is where sources should be
cited and facts should be shared to educate the reader on the topic. There are
several ways to organize the body of an informative essay:
1 by importance: organizing ideas according to importance beginning with the
most important;
2 chronologically: organizing ideas in a sequence from first to last or earliest
to latest;

3 logically: forming groups of related ideas.

conclusion: restate every matter and question you have discussed.

Task: Write an informative essay about the future of

retail store.

The future of retail store

Despite the title, ignore the future of retail for a minute. Even in a modern state of
things, penetration of online retail has been already quite high and on a growing
trend, fostered by huge investments in apps and digital tools that aim to minimize
consumers’ needs to interact with reps or try on each product. Characterized by
advanced technologies the 4th industrial revolution is happening as we speak and
is triggering changes in industries and reshaping the way that companies
manufacture products and the way that customers search for, engage with and
shop for products.

Virtual try-on and 3D configuration technology, for example, enables shoppers to

co-create a personalized item and see how it would actually look on them without

risking making an unsatisfying purchase, which simplifies the decision-making
process and empowers clients to shop whenever they want from wherever they
want.
Even more, it seems like we are facing an adoption of an omni-channel marketing
strategy. It is widely declared that consumers who buy luxury goods in both brick-
and-mortar and e-shops spend 4 times more, which makes brands open to
investing in creating a seamless experience across different channels and touch
points. Reason for this attraction to omni-channel is quite intuitive: customers need
consistent, authentic interactions both online and offline.
Another field for innovations is an automation on every retail level: data,
customization, logistics, connected inventory. Automation enables processes to
become faster and thus more effective, thus driving synergy across departments
and channels. This ultimately leads to a reduction in costs of operations and human
resources.
To conclude, in the future of retail digital and physical worlds are to be tightly
connected, getting the best from both worlds to make sure that customers will
face as little of so-called “friction” during their purchases as possible. Hopefully
this will not only lead to new retailers’ profit records, but also will indicate totally
personalized and deliberate consumption.
