This manual, of Standing Operational Procedures (SOP) are made especially for BH
Defense security personnel only. It is for official use and is classified.

Intent: The Intent of these SOPs is to establish the company policy and the
procedures for employs of BH Defense about their professional duties and
the code of conduct. These SOPs are the main Guidelines and the changes
could be done only in the situation where it is necessary. They include all
personnel of BH Defense security and service support and they make
required that all employs of the company follow them. Braking the standards
and rules which are given by these SOPs may cause disciplinary punishment
up to termination of contract. These SOPs must provide the security for BH
Defense personnel same way like the security and safety for the clients of
the company. And coming from the high sensitivity of our mission all
personnel are required to maintain high professionalism, unity and good
appearance and attitude.

1. If the president of the company is not available then the Security and
Operations Manager is in charge on ground.
2. The Team Leaders are responsible for command and control of their
teams under the supervising of Security and Operations Manager, they
assist him in enforcing all the rules, SOPs and company polices while
conducting their duties. They assist the Security and Operations Manager
in training, planning and are responsible for proper executing of the
operations according to the company policy. They are under direct order
of the President of the company (first priority) and the Security and
Operations Manager. They are responsible for moral and discipline in their
teams, combat readiness and for the control of the weapons and
equipment. They have under strict control the use and the maintenance
of the company owned vehicles and sensitive items.
3. The shift/squad leaders are responsible for submitting the orders and the
information to the shifts/squads and following those orders. They check
daily work schedules and control executing them. They are under order of
the Team/Element leaders and or Security and Operations Manager.
4. The security personnel are responsible for following their orders and
executing all the rules and company policies. They are responsible for
their weapons and equipment which have been issued them by the
company, about their cleaning and proper maintenance. They are
responsible for the security of the clients if they are employed as a PSD,
and for the protection of their guard posts if employed as a static
Security.
5. Convoy Escort element drivers beside the regular duties are responsible
for their vehicles, on time checks before and after using them, regular
maintenance and reporting the problems in time if there are any.

2. The clothes are required to be clened and if possible ironed all the time.
3. The daily dress code is the cargo style pants and polo style Tshirt or
Shirt, and for PSD elements the flight suits with the equipment.
5. For the feet are allowed the combat boots or hiking shoes, no multi
coloured sport shoes.
6. The local national garments are allowed to be used for disguising and
comflage while operating low profile but in proper way without anyway
insulting the local population. Doing that is required if all the equiment
and weapons are hidden the way they couldn’t be seen outside of the
vehicles.
7. The suits with the shirt and ties could be woren if escorting the
president of the company or clients to very important meetings where
the given dress code for everybody is requred.
D. Appearance
2. The beard and mustaches are allowed but must be groomed and
maintained at all times. There will be no allowable exeptions to this rule,
maintaining low profile is madatory. No facial hair that would attract
unwanted attention to the person is allowed.
3. Caps or boony hats are alowable for use as a protection device from the
sun, multi coloured head covers that stand out will not be authorised to
wear.
E. Professional conduct;
2. Team members must always address the client as SIR or MAM or with
their proper title or rank if known.
3. All team members must show the same respect and politeness to their
colleagues and counterparts and to the local population.
6. The team members must always be ready to help and never show
arrogance to anybody around.
F. Weapons policy;
b. Issued rifle will be always carried with appropriate sling and secured
to the body or to the personal equipment.
e. By any short range mission a full basic load of ammo will be carried
by each team member which is ten 30 round magazines for PSD.
g. While conducting static guard duty full basic load ammo will be carried
by each guard which is three 30 round magazines.
h. The weapon wil be only locked and loaded on team leaders order or
according the actual weapons status.

c. Any and all weapons issued to the security personnel must be field
stripped and cleaned at least once a week and after every use.

c. While in the process of clearing your weapon, the muzzle will always
be pointed in safe direction and you will make sure that the chamber is
empty.

b. All issued IPE is BH Defense property and will remain so. It will
be returned to company upon going on R&R or leaving the
company.

d. The PSD team members are only allowed to consume alcohol upon
authorization by the president of the company or his executive
officer.

k. While working for BH Defense all employees will not pursue any
other personnel business opportunities.

5. All issued equipment must be accounted for, every week under the
supervision of the team leader, supervisor or management.

M. E-mail/Internet Procedures;
1. All company owned computers, E-mail accounts, web pages and voice
mail systems are for official use only.
2. MWR system is provided by the company for personal use. Any kind of
web pages of sexual or any other content which could be in any way
insulting other employees, male or female is restricted.

To maintain high level of security and safety for BH Defense personnel the
following OPSEC policy have been established:
4. Any and all classified documents must be concealed at all times or carried
with a special folder and will be secured by BH Defense security personnel
5. Any and all classified documents which are not in use must be secured in
the safe location.
6. Any and all classified information which is out of date must be destroyed in
a secured manner, deleted, shredded or burned.

7. The following OPSEC procedures must be adhered to while using the radio
or cell phone.
10. Any and all printout materials, maps, overlays and photos, used for mission
analyzes and planning, is considered as classified information.
11. Any and all information stored in the TOC computers while analyzing and
planning the missions, will be considered as classified.
12. All classified information must be stored on the secured hard drive which
must be locked in the safe while not in use. While working with this
information the computer must be disconnected from internet or local
connections.
13. The Security and Operations Manager is responsible for storing classified
information or destroying it if no longer in use.
14. Any and all information that must be disclosed will be handled by the
company president only.
Complete BH Defense personnel who are authorized to carry the weapons, has to
read and aknowledge the rules for use of force and the rules of engagement to
avoid any complications while conducting their duties. Use of forse is defined as
a respond to an atack using phisical harm which is nessesary to cover and safely
evacuate client or to safeguard and defend yourself, team members and other

persons from the threat which we reasonably beleive will cause death or serious
bodily harm.
Deadly force is that force which a person uses which would create a substential
risk of causing death or seriouse bodyly harm to the threat. It will only be used by
necessity, when we are facing the direct and immediate lethal threat or serious
injuries to the client or the fellow team members. Here can be used the issued
firearm with the aimed shot into the threat.
Note: The level of force will always be the minimum which will guarantee
to neutralize the attacker or the threat.
Nonlethal force is defined as use of force using physical strength, martial arts or
any other self defense techniques which are not lethal. Here can be used pepper
sprays, stun guns, batons and any other nonlethal weapons.
Note: we might not have time to make the warning shot, as a PSD team
members, our main mission is to safeguard the client’s life.
The Rules for the Use of Force are set by the MNF-I HQ according to the
international lows and are defined in the document below issued by the US Central
Command and the Multinational Coalition Headquarters.

3. Use of deadly Force: Deadly force is that force which one reasonably
believes will cause death or serious bodily harm. You may use Necessary
Force, up to and including deadly force, against persons in following
circumstances:
a. In self-defense;

c. You may possess and use only those weapons and ammunition
for which you are qualified and approved.

NOTE: I understand the RUF, the difference between the RUF and the
Rules of Engagement (ROE), and the Law of Armed Conflict (LOAC), and
that the use of a firearm creates a potential for criminal and civil liability
under US/Host-nation laws.
