further trigger redevelopment in the area.

• 600 M long Stretch from Head post office
towards new railway road until the Masjid on
the old railway road

• The Street varies in width from 9 M to 13 M

• Around 450 shops on this street

There are existing schools which require special attention

as the traffic disperses on the parallel streets.

project, setting an example for similar school clusters

Since November 2013

Plan of open streets campaign

Restarting Raahgiri Day, got stopped due to

COVID 19. The movement started from city and
the city continues to organize this event since
Nov 2013.

Tentative Date 1st November 3 to 4 hours in

morning, every fortnight.

The program will start at Netaji Subhash Marg,

also constituting the new cycle track
constructed by the city.

At later stages, the idea is in development to

expand it to multiple locations simultaneously.
