Anthropology is from the new Latin word anthropologia “the
ANTHROPOLOGY
study of humanity”.
Anthropology is the study of what makes us a human. It is a
scientific study of humans, human behavior and societies in the past and present. It’s has a goal of
understanding our evolutionary origins, our distinctiveness as a species, and the great diversity in our
forms of social existence across the world and through time. The focus of it is on understanding both our
shared humanity and diversity, and engaging with diverse ways of being in the world.

A study of human beings and their ancestors through time and space and in relation to physical
character, environmental and social relations and culture.

 Anthropology is important because it help us to understand and relate to different cultures,


different ways of being in this world. It can certainly offer ways to educate people to become
tolerant of diversity.

Political science, Occasionally called politology, is a social


POLITICAL SCIENCE science which deals with systems of governance, and the analysis
of a political activities, political thoughts, associated constitutions
and political behavior. It is a classical discipline that deals with the study of political phenomena. It’s goal
is to deepen human understanding of the forms and nature of political action and to develop theoretical
tools for interpreting political meaningful phenomena.

 Political science is fundamental to understanding your rights and responsibilities as a citizen


and to understand international politics and law.

SOCIOLOGY Sociology is the study of human social relationships and


institutions. It is an exciting and illuminating field of study that
analyze and explains important matters in our personal lives, our
communities and the world. It examines and explains matter like crime and law, poverty and wealth,
prejudice and discrimination, schools and education and so on.

Sociology is a social science that studies human societies , their interactions, and the processes
that preserve and change them. It study social life, social change, and the social causes and
consequences of human behavior.

 Sociology helps the individual to understand human society and how social system work.
A comparative study of human societies enables us to understand that people in different
societies have many different solutions to universal human problems of making a living.
