IS GLOBALISATION GOOD OR BAD?

Entering an age where time, place and space is no longer a barrier to interconnect and
socialize. In that era, a woman in the southern hemisphere can easily know what a man in the
northern hemisphere is doing through a status in social media. Or maybe a fanatic fan following
his idol hedonism style. At that time, many may argue that it is natural to follow the trend
pattern. But then the question arises 'Is it reasonable?' 'What if the activities done by the guy who
wrote the status or the fanatic is wrong?' What they do is what is now called a process of
globalization. This process itself refracts the boundaries between privacy, age, opinion, behavior,
culture, to things that are considered taboo by society. At that time all activities and information
can be easily done and obtained.

Basically globalization is a global process where everyone is not bound by the state or
territorial boundaries, meaning that individuals can connect and exchange information wherever
and whenever through electronic and print media. Meanwhile, according to Emanuel Ritcher,
globalization is a global network that unites communities simultaneously that previously spread
to be isolated into the interdependence and unity of the world. If we note, the phrase '' into the
interdependence and unity of the world '' then it can be concluded that indeed in globalization
there is a process of reciprocal relationship or dependence in order to occur a process of
globalization. Because basically globalization is a social relationship between humans, it's just
done on a large scale and large. So, of course this can cause the pros and cons inside. Cultural
differences, customs, and religions can be the most influencing factors. Many people will be the
difference between them. The contrasting differences caused by globalization will make people
think 'whether globalization is good or bad?'

In fact, globalization is a term human-made to promote humanity. Get them in a better

direction. But, of course every action has consequences. Good things can happen if done well.
But man is a selfish creature and 'wants to win alone'. They are too greedy for profit.

Many things can be the cause of globalization, ranging from government policies to
relationships and cooperation with other countries, trade policies, migration of people who bring
their culture to other countries, the progress of science and technology and the number of
transnational corporations. Therefore, globalization has an impact on all sectors ranging from
children, adolescents, to parents and also impact on various areas of life. Various activities that
of course can have an impact in life. In modern times, where traditional activities have begun to
be forgotten things that are considered taboo by the old society is considered reasonable by
today's society.

The root of the negative effects of globalization is the lack of self-confidence. Because
basically globalization is a good thing. So all these negative things come from themselves. They
blame things without seeing and reflecting to themselves. Of course this feels so sad and sad.
Today many schools teach about globalization and how it affects life. Not until there, religion
also teaches about it. How to continue to hold on to the belief of God. The most frequent effect is
that as a result of globalization, they will be god-friendly and consider what they make is a
miracle. So that happens so they will become an atheist.

Globalization takes place in schools, in offices, even at home. We can see when a group
is eating restaurant, they will be busier looking at mobile phones, opening twitter or Instagram.
They forget their original goal is to meet. Today’s technological advancements are so amazing
that it makes people lose the opportunity to keep each other in touch with family relationships.

The most noticeable effect is children in the era of globalization will tend to be selfish
and too idealism. They will be more inclined to follow their conscience without regard to the
rules. Using impolite clothes, saying harshly, using drugs, drinking alcohol, doing plagiaries, or
other things that are not good. If they are asked why they are doing so, they may respond because
they follow their idol, a friend's appeal, or because of the influence of the environment. They
continue to imitate the behavior of people around them in the name of '' trend ''. Globalization
brings a trend that seems 'beautiful' and 'fun' but on the other hand is also very 'dangerous' and
'terrible'. The wise man said 'better to prevent than cure' the saying can be a reference to always
be careful in the face of this cruel and fun era of globalization.

Through many things happening, globalization is a good thing if it is done right.

However, because human basic attitudes are greedy then they will not be satisfied if they
continue to do 'good thing'. Technology or power caused by globalization is misused by
irresponsible parties. The government corrupts and ordinary people commit hedonism or bully.
Determining 'whether globalization of good or bad' will always differ from everyone. If we ask
the homeless in the middle of the city maybe they will answer globalization is cruel and bad. Or
if we ask an entrepreneur maybe they will answer globalization is the best thing that happens
because it supports the effort it does. Therefore, depending on how people deal with
globalization, their opinions will always be different. Because people will usually judge
something based on the benefits or effects of what they will get. So globalization is a good or
bad thing it depends on what they do. If used for good things then it would be good if not then
the opposite ugliness to come.
