Pre Lesson Pupils are guided to sing the Phonics song with gestures and recap on sounds s,a,t,p.

1. Pupils listen to the sounds i,m,n,d and watch the gestures shown by the teacher.
Lesson Development 2. Pupils are guided to listen and say out the words by using a suitable blending technique.
3. Pupils listen to the teacher’s sounds and gestures. Pupils colour the correct sounds in
page 3 in the Phonics Transition Module.

Post Lesson Pupils sing the phonics song with the correct gestures based on the sounds introduced.

Assessment 9/10 pupils wil be able to pronounce and write names correctly.
