question.

3. Read the instructions at the top of each section carefully.

4. No books, dictionaries, notes or any other written materials are allowed in this examination.

5. Calculators, including scientific calculators, are allowed provided they are not programmable and cannot
store or recall information. All other electronic devices, including mobile phones and smart watches, are not
permitted.

6. Candidates who break ABE Examination Regulations will be disqualified from the examinations.

7. Question papers must not be removed from the examination room.

1 (5 marks)
Evaluate a model of corporate social responsibility (CSR) of your choice, for example Carroll’s Pyramid.

2 (10 marks)
Critically examine the THREE requirements organisations must consider in order to develop a sustainability
strategy.

3 (10 marks)
a. Critically analyse ONE Western approach to business ethics (5 marks)
b. Critically analyse ONE Eastern approach to business ethics (5 marks)

Section B – 75 marks
(Essay questions: 3 out of 4 x 25 marks each = 75 marks total)

Answer THREE questions only

4 (25 marks)
Critically assess the reasons why organisations should engage in Corporate Social Responsibility reporting. Use
examples to support your answer.

5 (25 marks)
a. Explain FIVE sustainability goals in the context of a company or industry sector of your choice (10 marks)

b. Critically analyse how organisations can effectively meet the sustainability goals explained in part 5(a). Use
examples to support your answer (15 marks)

6 (25 marks)
‘You receive an expensive gift from one of your suppliers with whom you have spent a considerable amount of time
ensuring their satisfaction’.

Critically discuss the ethical dilemmas that can arise from this scenario and recommend how such dilemmas can
be managed.

7 (25 marks)
Critically assess the importance of considering ethical issues when undertaking marketing activities in an
organisation or industry of your choice. Use examples to support your answer.
