TOTE ON THE TURF
Tote on the Turf offers the highest quality banqueting services amidst picturesque settings in the heart of south
mumbai. With award-winning menus and bespoke service, we ensure that every occasion of yours, from the
smallest to the largest, is memorable.
While the dedicated banquet space is around 8,000 sq. ft., the entire venue is spread over around 30,000 sq. ft.
and can be used as one complete banqueting space for larger gatherings. The entire venue can also be subdivided
into several smaller spaces, with or without an attached open-air garden to spill over into.
With its stunning yet characteristic décor, the beauty of the venue is its ability to metamorphose into a space fit
for any event that you can envision from the traditional Indian wedding to a formal luxury car launch!
GENERAL INFORMATION
Minimum Guarantee – Tote Banquets Only
Lunch – 200 Pax

Dinner – 300 Pax
ENTIRE TOTE BUNGALOW – GROUND LEVEL
 Minimum Billing of Rs 25,00,000 plus taxes & charges as applicable for 700 pax
 Please feel free to speak to our banquet sales team if you have a lesser number of guests. They will make the
best possible efforts to accommodate your request.
 The numbers may vary during the monsoons since the temporary monsoon covers do not guarantee
completely dry outdoor areas.
 You may take additional space for your banquet. Please enquire with our sales team for area specific rentals.
 You can also rent the restaurant courtyard additionally at Rs 3,50,000 plus applicable taxes per session.
Set-up Timings Event Timings

Lunch: 08:00 hrs onwards Lunch: 11:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs
Dinner: 16:00 hrs onwards Dinner: 19:00 hrs to 00:30 hrs

 Rs 1,00,000 plus applicable taxes & service charge will be charged additionally for every extra hour of
service/operations. That is, if the venue is available post the hours agreed upon. Alcohol service will be till
1.30am only.
 Lunch decorators need to ensure that the venue is clear by 15:30 hrs for the next event.
 INR 230000/- Plus taxes will be charged as rental, in case the venue needs to be blocked for set up earlier.
 The decorators will be responsible for the timely handover.
 Please feel free to speak to our Banquet Sales team for the venue set-up timings for your event. This may
vary from season to season.
 The closing timings for the dinner events shall always be in accordance with the law governing the subject.
We shall not entertain any request for extension.

Terms & Conditions
 The above prices are EXCLUSIVE of taxes and service charge.

 The banquet sales team will be pleased to explain the various menu structures to you.
 The cut-off date for the reservation & tentative booking would be five days from the receipt of the
proposal.
 Please feel free to speak to our banquet sales team for creating a customized package for your event.
 Our invoicing is only on a “per head” basis and not on a “per plate” basis. The head count is carried out
jointly by one representative of Tote and the host each.
 Food on buffet will be served for a maximum period of 3 hrs.
 Use of drones in the premises will require permissions from the police authorities.

Venue Hiring Charges

(For Shoots, Exhibitions & Product Launches)
1. We also occasionally rent out the entire space or a part of it for limited periods for events such as Film
shooting, Still Film shooting, Exhibitions, Fashion Shows, Product launches etc. once the bookings are
confirmed.
2. Please let our sales team know the space you would like to use and they will work out a package for you.
3. You shall be responsible for all necessary permissions required for your event, including but not limited to
police authorities. We shall furnish you all necessary NOC for that once the bookings are confirmed.
LICENSES AND PERMISSIONS
Licenses
1. Additional licenses/permissions are required if you choose to engage the services of foreign artistes. It is your
responsibility to procure the requisite licenses from the appropriate agencies and the same has to be
submitted to us at least 24 hours before the event date.
2. We will require a copy of the visa, passport & the boarding details of the foreign artiste in advance.
3. We will not permit any performance at the venue in absence of the valid licenses.
4. Any kind of gambling is prohibited in the premises.
5. For any acts which can be termed as “Dangerous” (E.g. – Acts involving a trapeze/act which requires safety
harness) you will need to give us a copy of the insurance certificates for the participant’s indemnity letter.
6. Firecrackers are not permitted at Tote or the race course premises: use of any firecrackers will attract a
penalty of Rs 1,00,000.
7. No horses from outside are allowed inside the racecourse. Baraat with horses will only be allowed if the
horses are procured from racecourse and the documents are submitted to us at least 24 hours before the
event date.
Temporary Liquor License
1. You need to procure a temporary liquor license in your own name if you intend to serve alcohol at the venue.
2. Alternatively, we can procure it on your behalf, the cost for the same is mentioned below:

 For Social/Wedding Events/Birthday Party, etc. – Rs 15,000.

 For Corporate Event/Corporate Get Together/Product launch, etc. – Rs 24,000.
3. As per the Excise rules, we would require photocopies of the below listed documents:
 Passport size photo of party / host on whose name the license is to be procured
 Self-attested Pan Card photocopy of party / host
 Self-attested Address proof (Aadhar Card / Passport /Election Card) of party / host
 Invitation card of the event.
4. The service of alcohol shall be strictly in accordance with the law governing the subject in terms of age
restrictions.
5. The decision on whether to charge any corkage or not for the alcohol brought and served by you will be ours.
Our decision on the same shall be final and binding.
6. Alcohol has to be procured from our beverage partners M/s Living Liquidz only.
7. You must carry the purchase invoices with you at the time of event execution in case the authorities decide
to inspect the same.
8. Duty-Free alcohol is not permitted to be served on the temporary liquor license.
9. We shall not be responsible for any disruption caused to your event due to non-compliance of any license
condition by you.
10. You shall always keep us indemnified against any such action arising out of non-compliance of any license
condition.
11. We also recommend that as per the current laws, you should procure single day “alcohol consumption
permits” for your guests. These currently cost INR 5/- per head and we can assist you in procuring them.
12. Bar Handling Charges – (Included Corkage / Bartenders/ Aerated Beverages / Soda / Tetra Pack Juices /
Syrups / Garnishes Mineral Water) -INR 200 Plus Applicable Taxes per person. (Note: Red bull & Diet will
be charged additionally)

 The pricing offered by the above-mentioned vendors is at their sole discretion and we have no say in the
matter.
 In an unlikely event of us allowing any non-empanelled decorator for your event, we shall charge you a
royalty of INR 40,000/- only.
 In case you choose to use a non-empanelled decorator, you will be required to make an additional
refundable security deposit of Rs 2,50,000.00 (will be refunded in three working days)
 We don’t recommend any particular decorator from our panel. The selection of the decorator shall be
solely of your own choice and at your cost.
Décor & Setup
1. We request you to kindly coordinate all décor related activities in conjunction with one of our
representatives to avoid any conflict during the time of execution.
2. Any nailing, pinning or pasting on to the fabric or panels in the banquet halls will not be permitted.
3. Tote does not provide any storage facility / area for the goods / materials brought from outside Tote,
other than the venue reserved for the said date & time.
4. Tote will not accept liability for any damage or loss of merchandise left in Tote prior to, during, or after
the function.
5. Set ups involving noisy activities like hammering / banging, loud cutting etc. will be planned out in
compliance with the banquets and no such activity will be allowed in the venue.
6. All the requirements of the banquet function, including menu, seating arrangement, floral arrangement
and requirement of audio/visual equipment must be finalized at least 3 working days prior to the
function.
7. The client is responsible for the protection of all Tote surfaces in the case of outside props or equipment
brought into Tote by them or their affiliates. Any damage to the Tote surfaces due to disregard of Tote
policy in this matter, will be at the cost of the client.
8. We suggest the use of banquet entrance for banqueting events.
9. You are permitted to use the restaurant entrance on the condition that this entrance will not be
decorated.
10. Fresh flowers & the entire wet garbage needs to be carried out of the race course post the event.

Disc Jockey & Audio-Visual
1. We recommend the following gentleman for DJ and sound since he has been providing this service at the
venue for several years.

2. You shall be responsible for getting the sound for your party. The same shall be of your choice and at your
cost.
3. Similarly, you shall be responsible for getting your own DJ/ Band for your party. The same shall be of your
choice and at your cost.
4. Please feel free to speak to our banquet sales team for any other banqueting or conferencing requirement
like microphone, projector, & screens etc. They will be happy to assist you in procuring them. The cost is to
be borne by you.
COMMERCIAL TERMS
Payment
1. We will need a minimum payment equivalent to 25% of the minimum guaranteed business OR INR 2,00,000/-
whichever is higher at the time of confirming your party. Balance payment towards the party is to be made
in next two instalments -30% of balance amount four months prior to the event & balance fifteen days prior
to the event.
2. Payments should be cleared in 100% for the expected number of guests at least 15 working days before the
event.
3. Expected counts will be 10% extra above the minimum guarantee.
4. Counts over and above the expected guarantee will be charged at a premium rate as decided by the Tote
representative.
5. Service of food above the expected guarantee is subject to availability.
6. Any additional payment arising out of increased number of guests or additional services rendered shall be
cleared at the end of the party.
7. All payments pertaining to the licenses (if being procured by us) shall be payable at least 10 working days in
advance.
8. All payments to be made in Cheque or Demand Draft favouring “deGustibus Hospitality Pvt Ltd.”
9. In case of cash payment exceeding Rs 40,000/-, we will need a copy of your PAN card as per the guidelines
of the RBI.

11. Please insist on a signed receipt copy for all payments made towards your party to any of our team members.
In case of any dispute later, production of a signed receipt copy is compulsory as a proof of the payments
made. No other communication shall be considered valid.
12. No receipts shall be given for the amounts paid towards the reimbursement of license fees, if being procured
by us.
Cancellations& Refund
1. In case of cancellation, advance will be non-refundable. Tote on Turf Banquet reserves the right to forfeit the
advance amount.
2. In case of a cancellation being made between 90 days & 30 days prior to the commencement of the function,
Tote reserves the right to charge 25% of the 2nd instalment payment as the retention amount.
3. In case of a cancellation being made between 29 days & 15 days prior to the commencement of the function,
Tote reserves the right to charge 50% of the total estimated billing as the retention amount.
4. In case of a cancellation being made within 14 days of the commencement of the function, Tote reserves the
right to retain 100% of the total estimated billing as the retention amount.
5. If an event is postponed to another date within 14 days of event date, the rules of retention, as described
above shall apply.
6. In case your event gets cancelled due to natural calamities/government regulation, Tote will not be
responsible for the same, however Tote reserves the right to carry forward the advance to the next function,
to be held within the same financial year. This is however solely at the discretion of Tote and its management.

POWER SUPPLY
1. The venue provides a total of 15 KVA of power supply for your event. Any additional power requirement shall
be solely augmented by you or your decorator at your own cost.
2. You shall also be responsible for procuring permissions from the RWITC authorities for placing your generator
van. We shall give you NOC for the same.
3. Similarly, you shall be responsible for procuring the permission from the PWD Department for using the
Generator set. We shall give you the necessary NOC for the same.
4. Please feel free to speak to our banquet sales team for any assistance in this regard. They will help you in
every possible manner.
