EXERCISE 2:
Translation
 Social media combines online technologies and methods by which people can exchange
information, personal views, exchange diverse viewpoints and insights into world issues,
and generally explore the evolution of social media itself. Networking sites is an

Opinion
 This research is solely focused on the positive and negative effects of Social Media to the
grade 11 Students of Kalinga State University Laboratory Highschool. The researchers
have not yet finished the research that’s why it lacks information, which is very visible,
due to that reason this research is not viable. I will suggest that this research should be
finished because it is a very goo topic to study.

Exercise 3:
Criteria Support
Credibility Credibility refers to the degree to which the
research document is reliable and relevant, with
specific regard to the level of agreement
between the participants and the researcher.
For example:
According to, Kubey, 2001, It is seen that school
evaluations will endure when investing an
excessive amount of energy in social destinations,
for example, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as
significant investigation time is lost
Accuracy of Information Accuracy is to ensure that the information is
accurate and without error.

For example:
The researchers used a descriptive research
design. Since this is qualitative research, a
descriptive research design is the best one to use.
The study will be conducted on the said school,
Kalinga State University, with the help of the
Grade 11 students as respondents of this research.
These respondents will answer a formulated
questionnaire with a given time of at least 5
minutes. This formulated questionnaire will have
possible choices for the respondents to make it
easier. For data gathering, the researchers will use
those answered questionnaires by observing and
analyzing the answers of the respondents. Since
this research is still not done because the
researcher was unable to continue the research
due to the on-going crisis we are facing right now,
which is COVID-19, there were still no results
found in this study because the questionnaire that
was formulated was still not yet given to the
respondents but the researchers are hoping to
continue this research maybe after this pandemic
ends.

Style The style used should not be complicated so that it

will be easy to understand.
Content The contents used are very informative.

Exercise 4:
Social media use by students of Kalinga State University in Grade 11 Senior High school is so
widespread as of late due to simple access to gadgets, for example, advanced mobile phones, laptops,
tablets and PCs which are associated with the web. Dependence on the utilization of internet-based life
has very expanded as of late. The hazards of its consequences for the scholarly exhibition of the said
student of the school are upsetting. Academic performance which is delineated by the evaluations of
students is an extraordinary concern understudy that invests exorbitant energy in social medias become
reliant on it and it is accepted that their academic performance lessens proportionately.

ASSIGNMENT:
Social Media: Its Impact Among the Grade 11 Senior High Students of Kalinga State University.
This study talks how the overuse of social media among the Grade 11 Senior High Students of Kalinga
State University affect their academics and their dependance on this type of platforms. According to,
Kubey, 2001, It is seen that school evaluations will endure when investing an excessive amount of energy
in social destinations, for example, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as significant investigation time is
lost. As a student Social media can help us in different ways, it can boost our confidence in which we can
use when we are doing some activities in the school, it can help us improved our literacy, communication
and reading skills and many more. But it can also be a distraction among these students. Social media is
definitely one of the most critical distractions of modern times. We are sure that most parents and
teachers will also agree to this. There is always a possibility that students will not use social media for
constructive purposes. As what this research stated that “The impact of social media on the Grade 11
senior high students is significant depending on its positive and negative effects. Most students are
dependent on social media, especially on academic purposes. It is beneficial in making assignments,
projects, essays, and other educational activities. Students acquire the negative effects of social media
upon overusing it, but it has positive effects on the minimal use of it.”

The researchers used a descriptive research design. Since this is qualitative research, a descriptive
research design is the best one to use. The study will be conducted on the said school, Kalinga State
University, with the help of the Grade 11 students as respondents of this research. These respondents will
answer a formulated questionnaire with a given time of at least 5 minutes. This formulated questionnaire
will have possible choices for the respondents to make it easier. For data gathering, the researchers will
use those answered questionnaires by observing and analyzing the answers of the respondents. Since this
research is still not done because the researcher was unable to continue the research due to the on-going
crisis we are facing right now, which is COVID-19, there were still no results found in this study because
the questionnaire that was formulated was still not yet given to the respondents but the researchers are
hoping to continue this research maybe after this pandemic ends.

In conclusion, if these students will not know how to properly used social media, it might cause
them to have a failing grade from different subjects as what this research is expected to find as its result.
Still, this research is not reliable because it is not yet finished. This research will only be valid if it is
finished. I would recommend to those who are interested in continuing this research to look for a bigger
sample size to gain much accurate data.
