Installation Procedure

1. Install ATRIUM AC22 Controller and AX22 Door Expanders (power

supply, battery backup, tamper switches, etc.)
2. Connect door hardware to AC22 and AX22 (readers, door contacts, REX
devices, locks)
3. Connect AX22 Door Expanders to the AC22 Controller via RS485
Local Bus (Note: ATRIUM adds doors to the system in the same sequence that
the AX22 modules are added)
4. Connect AC22 Controller to LAN
5. Apply power to AC22 Controller
6. Apply power to AX22 Door Expanders (*see note in Step 3)
7. Install ATRIUM software
8. Start ATRIUM
9. Create an account and login to access the software
(default password: admin)
10. Add a new controller (use Auto-Detect feature)
11. Login to establish communication with the AC22 controller
(Login ID: admin - Password: admin)
12. Create areas
13. Define doors (associate areas to Side A/Side B)
14. Create holidays
15. Create schedules
16. Create access levels
17. Add users and cards
18. Attribute access levels to users
19. Test the system (system walkthrough)
20. Make necessary adjustments or modifications
21. Access ATRIUM via a web browser using the AC22 controller's IP
address
