*Intro
James: Physical fitness refers to the ability of your body systems to work together
efficiently to allow you to be healthy and perform activities of daily living.

Me: (What does goals of fitness means?) Everyone has different fitness goals,
ranging from generally trying to stay active to viewing fitness as a lifestyle. Goals of
fitness are goals we need to create in order to achieve the specific outcome we desire.

*Transition (Preparatory for Listing)

James: In defining goals of fitness, we can only think of one question “How do we
acquire a healthy body?”. Such that, setting goals and following routine will help us to
achieve healthy living.

Most common goals that we must embed in our mind are the following: to build muscle,
to lose fat, to gain/lose weight, to increase strength, to improve performance, to get “in
shape”, to be healthier, and etc.

Me: In setting such goals, it can not be applied if we don’t have healthy routine. The
following habit will help you in order to achieve that goals:

*Voiceover
Number 1: Drink more Water. With any diet, the most important thing to remember is to
stay hydrated. Drinking water will support your body with digestion, transporting nutrition
to your body and even help improve cognitive function.

Number 2: Exercise on a regular basis. Provide an exercise plan, this will help you to
manage on what aspects or components in your body you will focus on. It can be your
flexibility, agility, cardiovascular and so on.

Number 3: Get enough sleep. When you are deprived of sleep, you make it next to
impossible to achieve your health and fitness goals. Make sleep a priority to let your
body heal and rejuvenate. A good approach is 7 to 8 hours. Also, relaxing your mind will
help you to be keener in doing exercises.

Number 4: Have discipline. Monitor the food you eat. Start reducing the amount of
sugar you consume. Eat more green food such as vegetables and fruits.

James: (What to consider in setting fitness goals?) In setting fitness goals, we need
to remember these key principles in creating the physical activities to achieve what you
desire.

• Pinpoint your ultimate goal.

Be realistic – the routine you should choose should be attainable.

Be specific – the routine you should choose should stick to your plan.

Choose the goal that is meaningful and important to you

• Find out how to achieve your ultimate goal.

Do some research to achieve your goal.

• Set small, specific mini-goals.

Break down your goal into small and short-term goals

• Monitor your progress regularly.

Check and celebrate your progress.

• Adapt to changing circumstances.

Think about ways to cope with the interruption

• Don’t be too hard on yourself

Focus on how much you feel (you understand yourself more than anyone)

Me: Your desired body or lifestyle will become more attainable through the year if you’re
consistent with your fitness. Set yourself a concrete timeline as when you want to
accomplish some or all of these goals. In fact, start making one of these goals happen
this month!
