For smaller shipments, DHL and FedEx are commonly used. For larger shipments, Shapiro https://www.shapiro.com/, Unicargo https://www.unicargo.com/, First
Choice www.firstchoiceship.com, andFreightos https://freightos.com are commonly used. I recommend researching these and others if possible to compare best options. Amazon’s Service
Provider Network is a good resource.

Tax: The tax component is a 10% rate. You will pay an import tax on any shipment going into Australia (10% on COGs) but you do not need to register with the ATO until you reach a
threshold of $75k AUD. Once you’ve registered, you will collect and remit GST quarterly. You will be able to deduct the import duty from thosefilings. Please see https://sellercentral.

In general, the cost components to keep in mind are duties (10% on declared value of shipment), taxes (10% GST when applicable), exchange rate. The cost to the AU customer is
inclusive of all components.

Banking resources include Hyperwallet, Payoneer, PingPong, TransferWise and Ofx. You are welcome to use whichever works best for you.

Returns:
For FBA, anything resalable is returned to inventory. Unsaleable and/or merchant-fulfilled product will need to be shipped to a local AU address to be returned to you on a specified

Referral fees
Sellers pay a referral fee on each item sold.

¹The Everything Else category is available to the sellers for the products that do not clearly fit within the existing categories. Do not list items in the Everything Else

We will reduce the referral fee percentage in the Beauty, Baby, Health & Personal Care, Grocery, and Pets categories to 7% for products with a total sales price equal or
below $20 AUD. Products with a total sales price greater than $20 AUD will be charged either a 9% or 15% referral fee. All other referral fees will remain the same.

Monthly inventory storage fee

Inventory storage fees are charged typically between the 7th and 15th day of the month following the month for which the fee applies. For example, to see your inventory storage
fee for January, refer to the February Payments report for transactions from 7-15 February.

Long-term inventory storage fee

From 15 May, 2019, long-term storage fees in the Australian marketplace will be assessed at a rate of $160 per cubic metre (per month) or $0.10 per unit (per month), whichever is

assessment date.

Calculating the outbound delivery weight

The outbound delivery weight is calculated for each individual unit by adding the packaging weight to the unit weight. The total for each unit is rounded up to the nearest gram. The outbound
delivery weight is then used to calculate the fulfilment fee. A packaging weight of 25 g is used for envelope deliveries, 125 g is used for parcel deliveries, and 500 g is used for oversize deliveries.

Glossary
Small envelope
A packaged unit that is 100 g or less, and does not exceed 23 cm in length, 15.5 cm in width, and 1 cm in height.

Standard envelope
A packaged unit that is 500 g or less, and does not exceed 33 cm in length, 23 cm in width, and 2.5 cm in height.

Large envelope
A packaged unit that is 1,000 g or less, and does not exceed 33 cm in length, 23 cm in width, and 5 cm in height.

Standard parcel
A packaged unit that is 12,000 g or less, and does not exceed 45 cm in length, 34 cm in width, and 26 cm in height.

Small oversize
A packaged unit that is 2,000 g or less, and does not exceed 61 cm in length, 46 cm in width, and 46 cm in height.

Standard oversize
A packaged unit that is 30,000 g or less, and does not exceed 105 cm in length, 60 cm in width, and 60 cm in height.

Large oversize
A packaged unit that is 30,000 g or less, and does not exceed 105 cm in length, 70 cm in width, and 70 cm in height.
