After labelling the pictures , I ask a s to the board and go over the
body parts with the class : I point and they say the name of the part .
Aim : acquire body parts vocab
Part 2 : I ask a s out and I ask him to pretend to have a stomach
ache . I ask him ; what’s the matter ? he answers : I have a stomach
ache .
I kindly ask him to return , then I tell my students : what’s the matter
with these people ? let’s label the pictures and find out.

taught vocab and to correct if need be . necessary details .

P112 : I divide the class into 4 groups ..each group is going to read a
dialogue ,and fill a table : what’s the matter , when , verbs in the text
. I shall mime actions verbs – time marker : yesterday : I write the
day .
D1 : I cut my finger , Time ; yesterday ,verbs : were, went , cut ,
gave ,covered …I elicit the past simple : when did I cut my finger ?
yesterday …I draw a line of time ; past ------present--------future
And show them that yesterday belongs to the past . so all the verbs
in the dialogue are conjugated into the past : for regular verbs we
While-stage reading usually add ed at the end of the verb : to cover ; cover+ed , as for
gave ( to give) , cut ( to cut) are irregular verbs ( they don’t follow
the rule) and you have to memorize them.
Past simple ; finished actions in the past
Time markers ; yesterday , ago , last week , last month
I go through the other dialogues the same way . I may go over 2
only.
