Clamate change:
The effects in the business community are going to be immense. Wall Street is already including a metric
they call ‘climate resiliency‘ into its calculations which take into account how much companies are
preemptively addressing potential climate impacts on their business model.

Climate change has always happened on Earth, which is clearly seen in the geological record; it is the
rapid rate and the magnitude of climate change occurring now that is of great concern worldwide.
Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere absorb heat radiation. Human activity has increased greenhouse
gases in the atmosphere since the Industrial Revolution, leading to more heat retention and an increase
in surface temperatures.

Global warming:
Severe drought and weather pattern changes may cause a shortage of crops used for food, apparel and
other products. Rising electricity and transportation expenses may also increase the cost of moving
goods. Regulatory restrictions on goods linked to climate change could also increase costs. Resource
scarcity could drive companies to use alternative materials and recycle more waste.

When we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas to create electricity or power our cars, we release CO2
pollution into the atmosphere. Electricity generation is the main cause of carbon pollution in Australia as
73% of our electricity comes from burning coal and 13% from burning gas.

Acid rain:
Power generating plants and other major producers of acid rain discharge their oxide wastes into the air
in order to reduce production costs. This cost saving enables the producer to increase profits and
expand production at the expense of those who suffer from acid rain.

Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen
oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they
mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid
rain.

Ozone layer depletion:

There has been a recent increase in awareness when it comes to issues such as environmental
protection, preservation of natural resources and prevention of pollution. The latter issue, pollution, is
one that concerns many businesses. Every business is capable of creating waste or producing harmful
emissions, but it is essential to reduce the frequency of these actions and control the impact when it
happens.
Ozone depletion occurs when chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and halons—gases formerly found in aerosol
spray cans and refrigerants—are released into the atmosphere (see details below). CFCs and halons
cause chemical reactions that break down ozone molecules, reducing ozone's ultraviolet radiation-
absorbing capacity.

Man made a disasters such us NUCLEAR ACCEDENTS AND HOLOCAUST:

A nuclear and radiation accident is defined by the International Atomic Energy Agency as "an event that
has led to significant consequences to people, the environment or the facility". Examples include lethal
effects to individuals, radioactive isotope to the environment, or reactor core melt. The main source of
income before the accident was agriculture, both in the form of large collective farms (in the Soviet
period), which provided wages and many social benefits, and small individual plots, which were
cultivated for household consumption and local sale.

-The systematic state-sponsored killing of six million Jewish men, women, and children and millions of
others by NaziGermany and its collaborators during World War II.The dangers of conformity and
groupthink as well as the blindness people have to ethical standards when obeying authority is one of
the possible effect of holocaust in business.
