What amusements did the gaucho have?
La polca de la silla se realiza con varios
The gauchos used to meet in a place called
“pulpería”. They were businesses where all kinds
of products were sold.
Today they still exist in some neighborhoods and
in towns.
The gauchos spent many hours in the pulperia
because there they performed guitar playing,
payadas and played the trick.
¿Qué diversiones tenía el gaucho?
Los gauchos solían reunirse en un lugar llamado
"pulpería". Eran negocios donde se vendían todo
tipo de productos.
Hoy todavía existen en algunos barrios y en
pueblos.
Los gauchos pasaban muchas horas en la pulpería
porque allí tocaban la guitarra, payaban y jugaban
al truco.

El pato se juega de seis jugadores por equipo y
consiste en pasarse una pelota con manijas y
realizar goles en un arco. Antiguamente se jugaba
con un pato vivo.

La sortija se juega con dos participantes a caballo,
antiguamente se ponía dos anillos en un arco y se
pasa a toda furia. El que emboca el palito en el
anillo es el ganador.

La taba: También jugaban a la "taba", que es un
juego de «cara o ceca». La taba es un hueso que

diversiones. Hacían una valla y metían adentro
dos gallos entrenados para pelear. La
competencia terminaba cuando uno de los
animales moría.
