1. What is the meaning of Contemporary Arts? Explain in five sentences.

Contemporary Art it means “the art of today”. It includes artwork produced during the late
20th and early 21st centuries. It generally defines art produced after the Modern Art movement
to the present day. Moreover, it tends to be assessed thematically and subjectively, drawing on
an expanded range of theoretical and practical disciplines. Lastly, Contemporary Art can be
driven by both theory and ideas, and is also characterized by a blurring of the distinction between
art and other categories of cultural experience, such as television, cinema, mass media,
entertainment and digital technology.

2. How will you define art using your own words and idea? Explain in five sentences

Art is everything, everything that exist in the world can be considered as art even a single dot
from a scratch is such an art. Art is the expression of human creative skill and imagination.
Art is simply creation, creating something will considered an art it can be in the form of
painting, sculpture, music and so much more. Art simply describes how powerful the mind of

Activity 5 ART APPRECIATION
Directions: Design a creative work showing the classifications of the various contemporary
art forms. Choose one from the given choices.
A. Music - Compose a song of at least 2 stanza regarding the most memorable

I understand that studying the history of Philippine art are quite interesting. Art is not simply
creating beautiful artwork, art makes everything it can inspire someone to create his own
form of art, and art expresses someone’s feelings and emotions. It can also be form of
communication with one another, can be a socio-capital and best thing about art is that it can
relax someone because art is beauty.

I need to improve on knowing the various contemporary art forms and practices here in
Batangas, honestly I don’t have any idea of some various practices here in our place. I also
wanted to improve my skills in making something new out of old ones.
