 What does CPU stand for?

 Central processing unit: the key component of a computer system, which contains
the circuitry necessary to interpret and execute program instructions.

 What is RAM?

It is short for Random Access Memory that helps and quantifies the fundamentals and loads with
the computer's storage to power your operating system.

 What are expansion cards used for?

In computing, an expansion card, also known as an expansion board, adapter card or


accessory card, is a printed circuit board that can be inserted into an electrical connector,
or expansion slot, on a computer motherboard, backplane or riser card to add
functionality to a computer system via the expansion bus.

 What are the steps to properly shut down a computer?

1. Click on the 'Start' button.


2. Click on the 'Shut down' button.
3. Wait for the screen to turn blank.
4. Switch off the monitor.
5. Switch off the electricity.

4. Prepare the vocabulary according with computers parts and present to the course
instructor.
