Vajra Armor (Dorje

Gotrab) and
Padmashavari
The Vajra Armor Mantra was first introduced into Tibet in the eighth
century by Padmasambhava.
After teaching his close disciples in Tibet, he hid the Vajra Armor
teachings in 124 places, to be discovered by future ‘treasure finders’
as prophesied in his writings.
Padmasambhava predicted that a time would come when there
would be a great need for this mantra and to preserve the integrity
of the teachings and lineage, he hid different versions of this
practice in many different places for safekeeping, until the
designated treasure finder would reintroduce them to the world.
Over the past one thousand years, there have been numerous major
teaching cycles of the Vajra Armor Mantra that have been revealed,
including those of Dorje Lingpa, Mipham, Dudjom Lingpa, and Trak-
t’hung Namkha’I Jigme.
Guru Rinpoche predicted that during these degenerate times,
beings’ merit would decrease every day and the elements would
become more and more imbalanced. We can see this with so
many floods, droughts, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes and extreme
heat waves. New diseases are appearing that doctors have never
seen and cannot treat easily. People’s conduct would become
rougher every day and negative spirits and energies would gain
strength.

"When beings engage in the ten non-virtues, causing warfare and

committing immense sin, these negative activities will pollute the
mother elements and give the spirits opportunities to become
more powerful. Thus, the seasons will become unbalanced, the
crops will fail, the weather patterns will bring disaster, diseases will
multiply every year and even the best remedies will no longer
have any effect”.
El Mantra de la Armadura Vajra fue introducido por primera vez
en el Tíbet en el siglo VIII por Padmasambhava.
Después de enseñar a sus discípulos cercanos en el Tíbet,
escondió las enseñanzas de la armadura Vajra en 124 lugares,
para ser descubiertos por futuros "buscadores de tesoros" tal
como se profetiza en sus escritos.

Padmasambhava predijo que llegaría un momento en que

habría una gran necesidad de este mantra y para preservar la

Prayers and Mantras to Pacify the Spread of
Contagious Diseases and Imbalances

The entire glories of the limitless mandala,

Magnificent protector of all beings of the degenerate age,
Crown jewel of all siddhas and vidyadharas of India and Tibet,
Orgyen Pema Jungne, you embody this assembly of all objects
of refuge. To you I pray.

When malicious spirits, nagas, lords of the land and their

poisonous kin from the lower regions
Spew forth leprosy, pox and other contagious diseases,
Orgyen Tachung Ngamtrö Barwache,
We beseech you to pacify all afflictions and illnesses.
Incurable contagious diseases like the tretreho,
Black and white Yama, blood diseases and other painful ones:
When these are difficult to subdue, Orgyen Rig Ngag Je,
We beseech you to pacify these diseases of the degenerate
age.
