Introduction
I hope you will enjoy this little free pattern for sunflower bouquet. I made it for my best friend's
wedding, I thought it will be a beautiful addition to my gift, but actually my friend liked it better than
a gift :)

List of all the materials you will need for this project:

 yarn ( I use 55% cotton yarn which measures 174 yards (159 meters) for 50 g, weight Sport /
5 ply (12 wpi), Gauge 24 to 30 st is 4 inches (10 cm)

You can use any color you like, but here is a list of colors I used:
o brown - sunflowers' base
o yellow - petals
o green - stalk, lower back base

 3 mm hook
 a bit of cotton wool or other stuffing
 thick wire - if you don't want to use wires stuff the stalk and base as firmly as you possibly
could.

Attach yellow yarn.

From now on each yellow stitch we will make will be

threaded through both bases green and brown one.

I think that there is a difference when making a petal

with green base in front (You can test that if you want)
so I would like you to have the brown side in front!

each petal goes like this:

P: ch 2, dc, tr in same as dc, ch, dtr, ch, tr, dc in same

as tr, ch 2, ss

make the second petal from the same petal pattern...

.... and next... and next... stop when you will have 7-8
of them.

(see the photo for reference)

Stuff the base - not too firmly just to give it a bit round
shape.

Continue making petals.

FO yellow and hide the loose end of yarn inside the

base.

Stalk (Make 1)
green yarn

R1: sc 7 in MR (7)

R2 - R41: sc 7 (7)

R42: sc 7 (7) FO

Before fastening off check if the length of the stalk fits

you.

We have all the parts now, we just need to put them
together.

You should prepare the wire now if you decided to use

it.

(see the photo for reference)

Note that the wire is slightly shorter than the stalk.

The other end of the wire is curled up like the spiral.

(see the photo for reference)

Put the base on the spiral end.

Stuff the end of the stalk just a bit and put the wire in
it.

All that is left is to sew the parts together.

I am sewing it with a single strand taken from the yarn

I used to make a stalk - it is a bit of extra work to
separate the strand, but the sewing will be almost
invisible.

Sew the stalk to the flower.

Congratulations! First flower is ready! Will you make

more? It wasn't that hard right. I hope you have
enjoyed this pattern and you love the end result of
your work.
