The purpose of this document is to illustrate the difference, within a

professional setting, between the way that my peers perceive me and the

way I perceive myself.

WORDS THAT
DESCRIBE ME
A common word that was used to
describe me was chill. Some other words
that were used were easy-going and fun.
There was no disconnect between the
words that others used and the words in
my self-assessment. My peers and I
view myself as a laid-back person.
Something that stood out to me was that
one of my respondents described me as
mysterious. This is not something that
typically comes to mind when I think
about myself. After reflecting on it I can
understand why someone might see me
as mysterious because I am usually
quiet until I warm up to people.
MOVING FORWARD
The most interesting and helpful
comment I was received was:
"YOU CAN BE PERCEIVED AS
PASSIVE OR NEUTRAL WHEN
YOU DON’T SPEAK UP. WHILE IT
BECOMES CLEAR THAT YOU ARE
WORKING TOWARDS YOUR END

This comment is important to me because
of its honesty and specificity. In terms of
feedback for improvement, I gain more
from straightforward responses rather
than answers that are sugar-coated. As
with all of the feedback I got, I will keep
all of the comments in mind so I can
ultimately improve my personal brand.
As presented in this document, my
PeopleStyle, Culture Map, Words that
Describe Me, and ways that I can

The most important lesson I learned and something I will use for improvement

is being more confident and vocal in the conversations I have with people. I

realize I appear passive most of the time which others can perceive as me

not giving enough effort, but I do care and value what others have to say.
