Client’s Input

a. Client will provide initial data of 30 No. potential dam sites to consultant and shall
extend its cooperation / share its experiences for further development, finalization of
short listing criteria of12 No. most suitable dams’ sites.
b. For field data collection like geological investigation (surface & subsurface),
topographic survey, material testing, and topographic survey of all project area
including pond area & command area at requisite dam sites will be supervised /
monitored by consultants. Furthermore, the consultants will ascertain needs/scope of
field data collection at each dam site and ensure accuracy & quality of collected data
at selected dam site.
c. The client shall conduct regular progress review meetings and iron out problems
reported and reviewed in the monthly reports generated by Consultant. The meetings
can also be called at the request of the Consultant more frequently, if required.
d. The Consultant will coordinate closely with the client and other concerned forums
indicated by client in discharging its obligations under the contract.
e. The Consultant will coordinate and liaison for all the matters related to the
assignment with client personnel nominated in contract as client representative.

5. Information on Selection Process:


The general selection criteria will be:
a) Technical Competence: Relevant experience of the firm(s) in the last five years or so and
the list of ongoing projects in this respect including name of the client(s) and value of the
assignments with man-month inputs to be provided separately. Corporate profile
indicating years of operation, core competencies and management systems shall also be
considered.

b) Management Competence: Organization of the firm, list of permanent technical staff with
qualification, experience, address and certification that they are in the employment with
the firm. Short CVs/Introduction should be submitted for Director of firms and
permanent senior technical staff members related to assignment for both the Lead and
Associate firms.

c) Geographical Competence: Geographic experience of the firm in the Project area.

The selected firms will be requested to prepare and submit detailed technical and financial
proposals and will be evaluated according to the quality of technical proposal and the quotation
on the cost for providing the service. Firms will be selected as per Quality and Cost Based
Selection (QCBS, 80:20) Method duly following PPRA rules.
