29-Oct-20 SPECIAL EXAM NOTICE

Owing to the Covid 19 Pandemic Situation Regular (Even) Semester Exams for Academic Year 19-20 to be held in
April 20 were not conducted. Instead, marks in each subject were worked out on the basis of internal marks
(earned by the student as per progressive marks) and external component (which was calculated on the basis of
previous examination CGPI/Total marks) as per guidelines issued by University of Mumbai via UoM circular
no.2020-21/4 dated 22nd May 2020 for students under University of Mumbai and COA Regulations (Ref
CA/01/2020 dated-July 22, 2020- for students under D Y Patil Deemed to be University.

Also, as per the UGC Guidelines on Examinations and Academic Calendar in view of COVID-19 Pandemic issued
on 29 April 2020, if the student wishes to improve the grades (for Sem-2,4,8), he/she may appear in special
exams for such subjects during next semester.

Considering the current situation and above guidelines, students who wishes to appear for the special exams (for
Sem-2,4,8) to be conducted online shall inform the Institution/ Exam Department within 8 days from the date of
issuing this notice via below link.

Note :
1. Candidates whose name has appeared in the Sem-2 / Sem-4 / Sem-8 April Exam 2020 result and status is
shown all clear can only fill this form and register their preferences.
2.Those students who are willing to give the special exam shall note that this exam will be conducted online and
a. The written exam will be in the form of Short Answers or combination of Short and Long Answers but not
Multiple-choice questions, and shall be conducted in camera invigilation.
b The Viva-voce / Jury will be conducted online, where the students will appear from the safety of their home.
3. In case student registers for the Special Exam; result for this exam will be considered final.
Example - In case student obtains less marks / grades / grade points Or fails in the exam then such marks will be
considered final and previous result of higher marks / grades / points will become null and void.
