SUBJECT: Comments on Work Notification, JCR Ref # 02/0410/CR, for the demolition of
burger king at Con B Departure -C2.
With reference to the above subject please be informed that we have ‘No Objection’ to proceed with
the works detailed in the work notification subject to compliance to our below comments:
General Comments:
1. Incase of any emergencies at work, immediately call JCR at +97145045000 or 050 4575009.
2. Contractor staff shall mandatorily undergo Safety Induction Program before commencing project
work in Airport Premises of DI.
3. Obtain approval from all relevant Departments/ Authorities before the commencement of work.
4. PTW approval indicating the date and time of work shall be obtained from JCR before the
commencement of work.
5. Before starvfinish of the work activity, contact the concemed Shift Duty Engineer for document
verification / Safety compliance of the work activity that to be performed. Contact details given
below as per location for reference.

Electrical Comment
1. Electrical room and substation access, Switching operation and disconnection of power liaise with
FM shift engineer 0505889906/0501076678/0S02811067/0501078036
Do not cause any hindrance to the live operational electrical system
Do not work on any live electrical DB, SMDB, and MCC ete. If required separate work
notification shall be submitted with detail method statement and risk assessment.
Alll Electrical works should be carried out under proper supervision by the contractor.
Design, quality and safety at work is sole responsibility of contractor, consultant and DAEP.
Contractor has to coordinate with relevant sections in DA for the above works.
Separate WN shall be submitted to work on live electrical Distribution panels (SMDB, MCC and
DB Etc,).

EM Civil Comments :
1. Contractor to discuss the details of fixing with DA ES FM Civil before starting the jobs.
2. Work program to be submitted before execution of work.
3. All Civil material used to be signed and approved by ES FM Civil.
4. The existing services and assets should be covered and protected by the contractor. Any damages
on these elements will be contractor's responsibility.
5. No alteration or modification to the building structure and assets should be carried out without
approval from ES FM Civil.

Area need to be restored to the original shape
No ceiling access should be opened without ES approval.
Prior to any floor or wall core cutting, contractor has to obtain as-built drawings and check the
existing of any services and structure elements to avoid damages to those services/Assets. And
take final approval from DA ES FM Civil Section.
Fit Out Construction Comments
1. Contractor to coordinate with DA Development-Fitout Construction (FOC) team before starting
the work at site, The DA Fitout coordinator for this job is (Mr. Pradeep Kumar phone: 050-
5879620 ; Email: Pradeep. Kumar@dubaiairports.2e)
Site Kick-off meeting (with DA Fitout Team) is essential before starting any works at site.
3. All Documents to be presented in the kick-off mecting to ensure all the required approvals are
obtained such as the NOC, Permit To Work, scope of work, method statement, Risk Assessment,
approved proposed drawings, material submittals approvals, Work Program, etc.
4. All the above documents to be approved by DA Fitout, if not; then it has to be resubmitted for
approval prior to start any physical works at site.
5, Alll materials used at site to be with written approvals, otherwise will be instructed to remove them
from site
6. All materials to be Fire Rated. All material and practices shall be as per the NFPA standards and
Dubai Civil Defence regulations, and contactor shall adhere to any comments or instructions raised
by The DA Fire and Life Safety.

7. Any structural works to be designed by certified consultant and to be performed by professional
contactors,
8. Contractor shall call for inspections with DA-Fitout team during the construction period for the
services installations & removals, for ceiling closure, for Electrical Isolation Test’ Insulation
Resistance Test, waterproofing test, slab coring, etc.
9. Upon completion, a Final Inspection is required along with DA Fire & Life Safety to ensure the
project is ready occupation or operation.
10, Entering any Electrical Rooms or Technical Rooms will require pre-approved Entry Pass for doing
any kind of works related to the Electrical connectivity.
11. Connecting & Disconnecting of any power supply/feeder/distributor will require written approval
from the DA- Utility Management. (The Form will be provided when needed).
12, Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm systems temporary arrangements shall in place during the
construction period. This shall be performed only by the DA designated Fire Fighting contractor.
13. Any modifications to the Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm systems will require approved drawings and
Testing & Commissioning reports approved by DA-FM in charge engineer.
14. Contractor/and Client's coordinator to ensure that any of the existing services and airport
operations are not to be affected.
15. Working timing to be as per ICR Permit To Work.
16, Contractor to use suitable lifting machines in case required, and to use proper equipment’s and
tools
17. Contactor shall use the designated service lifts and routes, and shall not interact with passenger's
ways.
18. Contractor shall arrange to cart away all the debris and unwanted materials out from the Airport
premises.
39. Contractor to submit Completion Certificate along with the As-Built drawings and Operations &
Maintenance Manuals (In Hard & Soft Copy) on job completion
EM Mechanical Comments:
1, The contractor shall coordinate with the Concemed DA-ES FM Duty Engineer or M/S, Serco
Duty Engineer as per the location before commencing the works.
‘The contractor shall get approval of DA-ES FM-Civil section for any associated works before
commencing the job.
3. The contractor shall ensure that adequate sized access panels are provided for all MEP services
and equipment above the ceiling for safe maintenance access.
4, The contractor shall ensure that the existing operating services are not damaged as part of the job
and any damages caused shall be repaired at his own expense.
5. Any hot-work shall follow the Hot Work Permit system approved by the Airport Fire Service
(AF).
6. Any live work on power distribution networks shall be carried out strictly after approval of the
relevant DA-ES sections along with valid entry permits to the electrical rooms / sub-stations.

7. The contractor shall get permission from other DA authorities especially Airside Operations before
commencing the job.
8. All jobs to be carried out with the presence of Proper supervision.
9. Entire refrigeration circuit to be tested and confirmed for proper operation with right pressure,
without any gas leak from the system.
10. A thorough Testing and commissioning has to be carried out on completion of all works as per the
‘method statement.
Safety Comments
1. Safety Supervision and General Supervision at worksite shall be responsibility of contractor and
shall be adhered throughout the activity.
2. Contractor shall ensure valid insurance coverage to all of their staffs working in the Airport
premises.
3. Comments/suggestions made by the various sections and Units of Dubai Airports must be strictly
complied with.
4. Dubai Airport Health Safety & Environment Regulations, Airside Driving Regulations, Dubai
Airports EHS and Quality policies, Aerodrome Manual (SMS) and all applicable UAE Rules and
Regulations shall be fully complied with, as applicable, while carrying out the works.
5. All staffs involved in the work activity shall be briefed on all the hazards related with the activities
involved, risks associated, its control measures, applicable guidelines, standards and regulations,
SOP and Method statements before the commencement of work activities and records shall be
maintained.
6. For work affecting fire detection and protection systems, approval must be obtained from Fire
Department before the shutdown of such systems and advance notifications shall be given prior to
the commencement of the work.
7. Separate fire department approval (hot work permit) must be obtained from Airport Fire Service
(AFS) to carry out any hot work activities (¢.g.: Welding, Cutting & grinding).
8. All staffs involved in the work activity shall have all the emergency contact numbers. All incidents
including near misses shall be reported to the concerned authorities immediately as per the
Emergency response plan / DA Incident Reporting Procedure.
9. Water/electrolyte drinks must be made available to the staffs working on site to prevent heat stress.
10. If the scope of work involves eniry into the plant rooms, Plant Room Entry Permit shall be
obtained from respective Section Duty Engineer/Manager.
11, Method statement & risk control measures should be strictly implemented during the works.
12. All necessary safety precautionary measures shall be taken by contractor to ensure that no harm to
people and property damage while working in the Airport premises,
13. Wherever applicable, Inspections and testing’s (third party and other), of the work executed shall
be carried out and recorded.
14, Personal Protective Equipment’s like Safety shoes, Gloves. Helmets, goggles, full body harness
etc. which are required to ensure safety during the subject work must be strictly used.

15. The area of work must be cordoned off with a display of adequate and appropriate signage,
indicating the nature of work/major hazards associated with the work, Emergency contact
numbers, acquired permits and work notifications.
16, Electrical powered portable equipment’s adopted for work at site (having cable and plug) shall be
PAT (potable appliance testing) tested with relevant tag attached to the equipmentidevice.
17, All works shall be carried out in accordance with approved SOPs and method statement.
18. All necessary precautions shall be taken to prevent any fall of personal or materials from the
working platforms. Proper platforms, proper edge protections, proper access, full body hamess and
hooking mechanisms shall he used while working at height.
19. If the subject work involves usage of electrical energy /equipment’s, then Electrical Lock out/Tag
out systems must be followed from DA Authorized Person
20. If the nature of work involves working on Scaffold, a DM approved, certified, trained and
competent staff shall install, inspect and modify as per the requirement, Relevant scaff-tag shall be
‘maintained on the Scaffold with standard details such as Last Inspected, Due Date, and Status.
21. The area of work must be cleared off any debris before, while and after completion of work.
Proper housekeeping practices must be followed onsite, with the principle of “A Proper place for
everything and everything in its proper place”.
22. Waste generated from the activity at site shall be disposed complying with Waste Management
Procedures & Asset disposal process of Dubai
23. Adequate fire extinguishers and firefighting systems and necessary first aid facilities shall be
available for the work being carried out at site.
