ABSTRACT
The agro-industrial company Pucalá has machines of high economic value, so it is important to maintain an
adequate level of security in its perimeter in order to reduce the risk of intrusions that put these machines at risk.
That is why the agro-industry has guards who have the function of monitoring the perimeter during the night;
however, according to the Ministry of Health, during the night shift workers decrease their performance. As a
result, the guards do not offer an effective response when detecting sounds or movements.
This is why the design of a control system for the robot "Soteria" that is able to complement and improve the
level of security in the perimeter of the agro-industrial Pucalá is considered. Said control system will be achieved
based on a sequential design methodology that consists in first of all of delimiting the robot's functionalities.
Next, the possible control algorithms will be considered for: The user interface, the transmission of data, the
movement of the robot, and the execution of functionalities of this. Finally, simulations of the algorithms will be
carried out to determine the one with which the robot will perform its functions in a more optimal way.
