How simple is UPDATING?

You just have to download the LATEST patch of Left4Dead 2 and Standalone for NON-
STEAM players. Install them both CORRECTLY and it's done.
Don't worry about the links here, everything is from our FPS Mod Ganesh007 and
Aiden_Warren.

1. Download L4D2 v2.0.0.5 (12/11/09) and 1.G coming soon.

2. After downloading files above, install L4D2 v2.0.0.5 (12/11/09) to

your Left 4 Dead 2 Folder.

Refer to this image:

Take time to find the folder, you won't be able to continue if it is a wrong folder.
Please keep in mind that you must install again your Standalone in every update, major or
mini update.

3. Next one, install Standalone 1.G to your Left 4 Dead 2 Folder which
enable you to play on Garena.
While installing your Standalone 1.G, type your desired ingame name and language.

How to set-up your Garena?

Login your account in Garena, go to any Left 4 Dead 2 Rooms, click Settings.
Browse for your left4dead.exe, and choose it as your Executable Setting.

Now, for your Game Boostrap Parameters. just copy and paste this code:
+sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0 +sv_lan 1

Hit Start Game!

IT'S DONE!

Btw, all your settings in the game will reset after applying the update. Be sure to check on it

How to permanently change my name?

Go to your Left 4 Dead 2 Folder, find stryder.ini. Edit your current name then save.

How to enable my console?

Start the game, in the Main Menu choose Option then Keyboard / Mouse and enable Allow
Developer Console.

How to know my version?

Run the game, press console and type this command: version (usually fresh installed Left 4
Dead 2 is v0 or v2.0.0.0)
Result: 2.0.0.0 is v0, 2.0.0.3 is v3... so on!

How to remove the fps and ping display on the bottom right of my screen?
While in-game, press console then type: net_graph 0

How to change my name in-game?

While in-game, type this command to your console: setinfo name "put desired name here"
For example: setinfo name "Newbie"

How to join game?

Press console, type this command: connect "<IP Adress here>"
You could join via Lobby by clicking your Steam Group Servers below your Main Menu or use
IP Addresses in Garena.
For example: connect "192.168.29.00"

Press console, type this command: map "<map's name>" "mode"

For example: map "c1m4_atrium" "survival"

How to change host name?

Press console, type this command: hostname "<desired name>" (This will be your Lobby
name.)
For example: hostname "Newbie - PLDT Only"

How to know my IP Address?

Press console, type this command: net_start
Result: Network: IP 192.168.29.18, this is your own IP Address.

How to change difficultly?

Press console, type this command: z_difficulty "<difficulty here>"
For example: z_difficulty "easy"

How to bind keys?

Press console, type this command: bind "<key>" "<command>"
For example: bind "x" "vocalize PlayerDeath"

How to hide Subtitles and Captions?

In your Main Menu, go to Settings then Audio. disable Captioning.

How to put password on my server?

Press console, type this command: sv_password "<desired password>" (To remove password
just type, sv_password "")
For example: sv_password "1234"

How to remove intro video when starting the game?

In your Garena, click Settings and to your Boostrap Parameters add this command: -novid

when you install L4D2 2.0.0.4, you are just overwriting the files you have. you don't need to
UID 11652040 reinstall the whole game. just be sure to follow the steps to avoid problems.

please include also, how we will play while our deep freeze program is on/freeze mode. we
receive error "you dont have permission to run left4dead2". please help us. we can't
compromise the safety of our computers from viruses/spam/worms. thanks and more power...
