Morning Show Uses Mogiv’s Mobile Giving Platform to Help Raise More Than

$26,000 for Children’s Hospital

Radio show’s annual fundraiser bests previous year’s fundraising totals by using innovative
technology.

Encinitas, CA, February 08, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Once a year, one of San Diego's most popular radio
morning shows breaks from its usual 4-hour format. The microphones stay on and the crew of the Mikey
Show embarks on a veritable odyssey: a 28-hour, commercial free, live broadcast, dubbed the
“MikeyThon.” With one of San Diego's largest and most loyal listening audiences, the event focuses the
show's substantial audience on supporting Rady Children's Hospital's Autism Discovery Institute.

To facilitate listener donations, the Mikey Show and Rady Children's Hospital Foundation chose the
innovative Mogiv platform that was recently launched to help non-profits raise funds. Using Mogiv,
MikeyThon offered supporters a broad choice of giving methods on a single, integrated platform.
Listeners were able to initiate donations via text message, e-mail, or the web. Unlike other mobile giving
solutions, there are no restrictions on the size of donations that can be made via the Mogiv platform.

Broadcasting on their home station KBZT (FM94/9), this year's MikeyThon was held December 16 to 17.
Despite the struggling economy, the 2010 event raised a “MikeyThon” record of more than $26,000 in
total funds. Excluding auction items, more than $17,000 of the total was accounted for by donations made
over the Mogiv platform.

“Mogiv was easy to use and proved to be a powerful giving tool for Rady Children's Hospital,” said Jared
Blakeley, the Annual Giving Officer for Rady Children's. “Giving donors the ability to text and pledge
any amount helped make this year's MikeyThon the most successful yet. The integrated messaging and
update systems helped to drive the success of our campaign, while the online dashboard made everything
easy to track in real-time.”

"Mogiv was incredible during MikeyThon 2010. They accounted for over $17,000 in Mikey Show
listener's donations. I can't wait to use Mogiv again for MikeyThon 2011!," said Mikey Show host, Mike
Esparza. Esparza was inspired to start the MikeyThon to give back to Rady's Children's Autism
Discovery Institute after his now four-year-old son, Jake, was born with Autism.

Non-profits like Rady Children's Hospital are using Mogiv to leverage mobile giving, e-giving, and social
media without monthly fees, set up or support fees. In fact, it costs them $0.44, the price of a postage
stamp, to receive donations from givers. Merchant processing fees are paid by the non-profit and typically
total less than 3 percent, including the Mogiv fee. Givers pay zero fees to make the donation.

Mogiv also helps leverage donor participation through social networks by enabling givers to
automatically update their Facebook status whenever they join or give to a campaign. The system makes
it easy for participants to share their Mogiv experience through social web sites. By integrating Facebook
with the giving experience, the Mogiv system helps non-profits communicate better with their donors

while also promoting their causes to potential new donors.

“We're pioneering a new and sustainable approach to mobile giving, and making an impact on people's
lives at the same time,” said James Lawrence, Mogiv's Co-Founder and CEO, “Being a part of helping
events and organizations like the MikeyThon and Rady's Children's succeed is why we created Mogiv.”

Mogiv was created by James Lawrence and Matt Hayes, who prior to founding Mogiv Inc. in 2009
brought with them extensive experience in building technology products. It was their experience working
together in a non-profit organization called YoungLife that motivated them to develop this technology.
Mogiv is the resulting technology to make fundraising and donor engagement more efficient and effective
for organizations, allowing them to focus more resources on doing the truly valuable work. Learn more at
