Internship Duration: 6 months

The internship assignment

The EHS Intern reports to the EHS Regional Leader BENELUX. He or she contributes to the field of
environmental, health and safety (EHS). As a team member, he or she will help Tesla accelerate to a
sustainable tomorrow, being safe, fair and fun today.

The EHS Intern supports the operational development and implementation of EHS in Tilburg. He or
she will also work with supervisors and safety representatives to develop and implement safety
initiatives to achieve operational best practices.

The candidate must work well on both self-initiated projects and those driven by concerns and issues
reported by employees. The candidate has great analytical, organizational and communicational
skills exercised in operational support and advice. The candidate is a great team player.

The Candidate Will Perform

 33% Support: incident coordination, personal protective equipment coordination and

operational advice;
 33% Analyses: risk assessments, incident investigations and EHS data performance trends;
 33% Projects: research on the subjects of ergonomics, task risk assessment and emergency
response.

Based on your education and personal skills you will be performing real projects with a designated
business impact on safety. You will learn to be an operational advisor. You will learn how to integrate
environmental, health and safety into operational focus, and be impactful. To be successful you must
be able to prioritize and drive projects, take decisions and communicate effectively with
stakeholders.
  Perform ergonomic health research investigation to improve working standards;
 Perform task risk assessments and develop safety instruction cards for manufacturing work
stations;
 Contribute to the improvement of emergency response and first aid procedures and
exercises.
 Data: use data for performance review, and report trends for recommendation and
prevention;
 Operational: record, investigate and maintain workplace incidents and near misses;
 Operational: coordinate personal protective equipment, equipment safety and machine
safety;
 Operational: perform EHS audits and safety walkthroughs and address recommendations;
 Operational: safety instruction, induction & training of employees.
 General: continuously improve and drive EHS;
 General: implement and maintain EHS policies, plans, and procedures;
 General: maintain relationships in the organization to integrate EHS into operational focuses.

Requirements

 University of Applied Sciences, 3rd or 4th year Bachelor Safety Study;

 Affinity with risk analysis, emergency response, protective equipment, incident investigation
and ergonomics;
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch;
 Ability to work effectively and efficiently prioritizing various projects;
 Proactive as well as detail and results oriented with strong desire to succeed on project
objectives and deadlines;
 Able to influence and communicate effectively by stakeholder management;
 Mastery of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
