TOPIC: Phrase and Clause


I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students are able to:
a. Identify phrase and clause;
b. Differentiate phrase and clause;
c. Relate on their daily lives (being dependent and independent)

III. Procedure

Phrase and Clause


PHRASE
-is a group of related words
without both subject and verb.

Example:

At Rizal Park

CLAUSE
-is a group of words containing a
subject and a predicate.

Example:

I love History.
She is kind.
Rizal is a hero.
Marcos was a president.
Spaniards were colonizers.
