Lattice extension
Assembly of 8 metre lattice extension
In its working position the lattice extension is utilised in line with the
telescopic boom to reach greater working heights or radii.

When the lattice extension is not in use it must be disassembled and

transported separately although it should always accompany the
machine.

Proceed as follows to install the lattice extension:

1. Retract the boom and move it to the horizontal position (to facilitate this
operation lower the head by bringing the boom down to its negative
angle position).
2. Remove the cotters and withdraw the extension pins “A”.
3. Raise the extension.
4. Insert the extension fixing forks “B” on the head boom pins “C”
5. Insert the four pins “A” into upper and lower forks and secure with
cotters.

Swing-away 14 m lattice extension

The swing-away 14m lattice extension consists of a swing-away lattice
extension of 8m (0.7 + 7.3m) and a lattice element 6m long. It cannot
be folded on the side of the boom in its entire length of 14m, so it is first
necessary to set the 8m extension in working position before using it.
Using a suitable crane, remove the 7.3m fixed element, install the 6m
element on the ground and refit this unit to the base that is fixed to the
boom arm.
Once installed, connect the limit switch.

warning
The operation of lifting the lattice extension element is to be
carried out with the suitable care to prevent damages or injury.
This is why we recommend that you use slings to secure the
lattice and avoid damaging the tubes.
