III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities

This is simply a game of copycat. The teacher uses a combination of
clapping and sounds to make a pattern. Students need to copy what the
teacher says/does. This can start with a simple pattern of only 2-3 and can
extend to add more. To make it even more challenging complete the pattern
quicker and see how many students are able to keep up and remember all the
parts. An example pattern could be: clap, slap, snap, click and yell.
2. Motivation
The teacher will show images through a powerpoint presentation that
depicts action and let the students come up with verbs that would
appropriately describe each image.
1. Activity
The teacher will group the students into three. Then, the teacher
will assign each group a picture and each group will construct sentences
as much as they can based on what they saw in the picture.
2. Analysis
The students will now share their answers in front of the class. A
representative of the group will discuss or point out the subject-verb on
each sentences.
3. Abstraction
There are many rules in subject-verb agreement but we’ll only tacke 5 of
it.

4. Application
The teacher will let the students to construct 5 sentences using the image
shown to explain what’s going on in the image. Follow the first five rules of
Subject-Verb Agreement in constructing sentences. Do this on a whole sheet
of paper.
5. Assessment
If the sentence is grammatically correct, write C before the number. If there is an
error in subject-verb agreement, write the correct form of the verb.

6. Assignment
1. Write examples for each of the first five rules of the subject-verb agreement.
2. Give the three remaining rules and give examples for each of the remaining
rules.
