What I Need to Know
This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is here to help
you learn on how to divide decimals and mixed decimals up to 2 decimal places.
The scope of this module permits it to be used in many different learning
situations. The language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of students.
The lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the course. But the
order in which you read them can be changed to correspond with the textbook you
are now using.
What I Know
This activity will test your prior knowledge about our lesson in this module.
Find the quotient.
Note: If you answered this activity with 100% correct answer, you may skip
the module. If you answered 50% to 99% correct answers, proceed with the
module.

What’s In
Before we go through our next lesson, let me first check your skills by
answering these equations which you have learned from the previous
module.
1. 45 ÷ 1.5 = _________
2. 63 ÷ 2.1 = _________
3. 768 ÷ 0.8 = _________
4. 6.24 ÷ 12 = _________
5. 4.68 ÷ 52 = _________

What’s New
Let us start our new lesson with this particular problem. This will give
you an overview of the whole lesson in this module. Read and
understand it.
Jose received P956.25 in one week. How many hours did he work if
his rate was P42.50 per hour?
What is It
Solution:
To divide a decimal by a whole number, just follow these steps:
Note: The divisor has two decimal places. Move the decimal point two
places to the right to make it a whole number.
42.50 956.25
Note: Move the decimal point of the dividend two decimal places to the
right.

Step 3: Divide as whole numbers. Insert zeros if needed.

What’s More
It’s time to check what you have learned. Your goal is to answer the
equations below. Do it carefully and properly. Good luck!
Activity 1
Find the quotient by following the steps you have learned in this lesson.
2. 32.4 ÷ 3.6 =
3. 8.4 ÷ 0.2 =
4. 25.5 ÷ 1.5 =
5. 2.4 ÷ 1.2 =
Assessment 1
Find the quotient. How many can you do mentally?
5
Activity 2
Answer the following questions.
Assessment 2
Tell whether the quotient is correct or not. Put a check ( ̸ ) if it is correct and
cross (x) if it is wrong.
Activity 3
Solve for the quotient.
Assessment 3
Help Andrew reach the finish line by solving the equations below. I know you can
do it!
FINISH LINE
