Agreement for Rent/Lease of Road Construction

Equipment

THIS CONTRACT AGREEMENT is made on the 1st day of November, 2018

BETWEEN
(1) M/S HAMU ENGINEERING LIMITED having its principal place of business at
P.O.BOX 632, KAMPALA, UGANDA (hereinafter called “Equipment Owner”),
And

(2) M/S SAVANAH ENGINEERING WORKS LIMITED, a corporation

incorporated under the laws of Uganda and having its principal place of business at
P.O. Box 714, Mukono (hereinafter called “the Lessee”).
WHEREAS the Equipment Owner desirous of renting out two Dumpers and 50 sqm
of scaffolding. M/s Savanah Engineering works Limited, who is willing to rent the said
equipment on a long term basis for a period of 18 months for the execution of Proposed
Road Infrastructure & Paddock civil works at Maruzi
(3) The Equipment Owner and the Lessee agree as follows:

1. The Equipment Owner (M/S HAMU ENGINEERING LIMITED) guarantees

availability of the required equipment for the project at rates detailed:

MACHINE QUANTITY CONDITION RATE (UGX)

Metal Scaffoldings 2500m2 Good 500,000 Per Day

2. The records shall be jointly agreed by the owner's representative and the Contractor's Site
Agent at the end of each day.

3. The total amount due shall be determined by multiplying the total hours worked and the
rate of the respective equipment used.

4. Payment shall be made from each "Payment Certificate" issued and paid to the lessee
Relating to the work executed by the equipment in that period.

5. Any deviation from the agreed payment terms is subject to further prior agreement with the
Equipment Owner and shall be an agreed interest rate in any way not less than the
prevailing commercial lending rate by Bank of Uganda.
